I had multiple works pensions that were in a mess and were stressing me out.

Absolutely. I have complete peace of mind now knowing that my pension is in a good place.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had recently retired and had savings that were not really giving me any return other than the small amount of interest in my savings account. I felt that I could get a better return elsewhere and therefore need some help & guidance.

How has Mukesh Raichura helped you?

Mukesh visited me at home and evaluated my current situation. He did an in-depth fact find to ascertain my needs and conducted a risk profile so that any advice he gave overcame my concerns. He used language that made it really easy for me to understand due to my limited knowledge of financial services and products. His recommendations have been excellent as I have a much better return on my savings and they significantly top-up my retirement income and I have a much better lifestyle now compared to before.

Mukesh brought everything together on one platform which enabled me to see with far greater clarity what I had and how it was performing. His review of my various pension plans and retirement goals was thorough and this resulted in a new strategy that was designed carefully to meet my income expectations on retirement. Mukesh liaised well and constructively with my accountants. He has been extremely diligent throughout.

In general terms, yes. The difficult investment market of the last 12 months has, though, resulted in poor performance of some of our funds not that this can be blamed on Mukesh!

I had various works and private pensions which I asked Mr Raichura to review for me and advise on the best way to go forward with them.

He did exactly what was asked of him. He took away the mountain of paperwork I had and came back with a very concise plan which he explained in full and simple terms.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

The fact that in a drawdown pension I have more control over MY pension pot and the way I use the money that I have paid in over many years. With a drawdown pension my pension pot becomes part of my estate, which I can pass on to my wife and family. Whereas with an annuity pension when I die my wife would only receive 50% of said annuity and when she died any monies left in the pot would revert to the pension company

I had a several small investments and pensions that had previously performed very poorly and needed advice on how to go forward and make them more profitable and to suit my circumstances

Mukesh collated my portfolio and was very professional and patient in his explanation of what could be achieved, and why he had put together his proposal tailored to my needs. Over 20 years ago when I was first introduced to Mukesh Raichura I needed help with a company pension scheme. Since that introduction Mukesh has helped with many aspects of my business and personal finances, including mortgages, insurances, pensions and investments.

I have worked with Mukesh for many years and he has done an excellent job of leading the management of my finances. In the last year he found me a new mortgage for a house move and helped me reorganise my assets after I remarried.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My employer didn't have a pension plan in place and I really needed to start one. Mukesh was recommended to me by a friend.

How has Mukesh Raichura helped you?

Mukesh was amazing! He not only set me up with a suitable plan, he was so patient with me as a complete newbie to the pensions arena and spent a lot of time explaining to me how pensions work and helping me to understand the market. There were many times I has questions that perhaps others would not have needed to ask but Mukesh answered every single one in a timely manner and I was totally satisfied with each answer. Plus, he was extra patient because it took me nearly 3 months to crack on with it!.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

100%. Having a pension plan was the last piece of the puzzle in terms of financial stability in my older years and I'm very happy to have had Mukesh navigating the market for me, rather than me trying to do it all myself.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My current and previous employers did not offer a pension scheme as they were too small to be required to (yet!). So I felt it necessary to start one on my own rather than wait.

How has Mukesh Raichura helped you?

Mukesh helped explain the whole process of setting up my pension and made sure I understood every step along the journey. He was wonderful in clearly explaining everything and showing how it met my needs, including researching into my options for transferring to another country in the future (as I am American and may potentially move back to the US in the future).

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My pension is all set up now and I feel much better having started saving for my future.

What could they have done better?

I think it would be great if there could be a guide into what everything means (almost a "For Dummies"-style document). Having very limited understanding of finance and all the terminologies, having a guide right at the start would help me understand what my needs are earlier in the process.

When we contacted Mukesh for advice, we were complete novices at financial planning, and Mukesh dealt with our cluelessness with great patience and skill, allowing us to learn a great deal about our attitude towards risk and how we wished to both make investments and plan a pension. I imagine we must have been quite annoying clients, as we combined ignorance with some unusually specific parameters surrounding where we wanted our investments to be made, and Mukesh also dealt with these requests entirely appropriately. He has also been approachable and flexible whenever we have needed to contact him.

What could they have done better?

We don't have a wide experience of IFAs, so it's tricky for us to say what Mukesh could do better, given how satisfied we are with the service he has provided for us.
