Denese has been our family adviser for over 15 years. In that time she helped settle matters following a bereavement and has given invaluable advice with regard to family trusts. As well as being our adviser, Denese is considered a personal friend and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Denese spends time to understand exactly where we are and what we are trying to achieve. She has honesty and integrity in bucketfuls She is always available when we need her and she has our absolute trust.

How has Denese Molyneux helped you?

Denese is a very straightforward person who tells it exactly as it is and explains things in non-jargon terms. She offers a no-fee initial consultation and then suggests the best course of action in order that her clients can achieve and maintain their lifestyle expectations. She will project income and expenditure so that clients can see how their capital can be sustained for their lifetime. This is especially valuable to older clients, like myself, for whom there is often an anxiety about 'running out of money' if we live to a ripe old age. Above all, Denese is someone you can talk to, who understands the problems which we all come across in life, and is genuinely anxious to be of help to those of us who understand less of the financial world than she does.

How has Denese Molyneux helped you?

What I like about Denese is the way she thinks out of the box rather than simply following the conventional IFA approach of profiling and buying into funds. She understands my long-term needs, devises a strategy to meet those needs, then creates a financial plan to deliver against the strategy. This is far more like business planning and suits my way of thinking. She's also hugely proactive and responsive. I feel, under Denese's management, that my financial future is as secure as it can be yet flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances.

What could they have done better?

Although Denese has been involved in my financial planning in the past, I have only returned to her fairly recently as a result of dissatisfaction with my previous IFA. So far I'm happy with the way things are progressing.

I first met Denese almost by accident over ten years ago when I lived in the West Country. Having been made redundant and used this as an opportunity to take early retirement, it's fair to say that I was,and remain, less than adept at handling financial matters,particularly those of a long-term nature. It's also fair to say that in the intervening years, Denese has been something of a financial guardian angel, smoothing out what for me would have been an extremely rocky path and she has continued in a similar vein since I relocated to Norfolk in 2008. There's no telling what I might have done without her guiding hand on my shoulder!

How has Denese Molyneux helped you?

We have been working with Denese now for eighteen months. We initially approached her because we felt we needed someone who could give us a snapshot of our financial situation, demonstrate how our financial future is likely to look and offer advice on strategies to achieve our goals. Denese took time to get to know us before her first report was written and emphasised our individual attitude to risk. She has a gentle touch with advice and we certainly don't feel pressured into taking out certain investments or policies. Of course, financial advice costs but when the service is of the quality offered by Denese one doesn't begrudge paying. After all, it's the bottom line which is important and we believe that as well as giving us a degree of confidence in our future her advice will ensure that we can slow down before retirement knowing that we can afford to do so without worrying unduly. Denese also advises my widowed mother and has helped her greatly, particularly in relation to ensuring her estate will avoid a hefty inheritance tax liability in the future.
