Liam provided me with clear and unbiased advice and support on my pensions, a topic about which I know very little. His assistance was unhurried and clear and enabled me to see exactly what my options and next stesp should be.

Liam carried out a full review of our pensions, investments & insurance. He then made recommendations, including investing our money in accordance with our tolerance for risk.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, we are delighted with how our plans are performing over the long-term. Liam is always on hand to provide advice and guide us carefully through any decisions. He listens to us and takes in to account our opinions, he is pleasant and easy to understand.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

When I separated from my husband, part of our divorce settlement was a pension sharing order. The pension sharing order was complicated and I didn't fully understand my options or indeed the paperwork.

How has Liam Best helped you?

Liam took away all of the hassle. He provided clear, concise advice and explained everything in easy to understand terminology. He also completed all of paperwork on my behalf, which was a huge relief.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My retirement plans are reviewed on a regular basis by Liam. We meet each year and ensure they remain within my acceptable risk. Liam provides an annual report and explains this to me in person. My ex-husband used to deal with all of our finances, with Liam's help, I now feel confident dealing with my own retirement planning. Overall, I feel assured that my pension is being looked after by Liam and his team.

What could they have done better?

Do it all without me being involved! Seriously, I can't think of anything, Goodwill Financial Planning have even given me access to my own, secure online portal, although I have to confess, I haven't felt the need to use it!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had received an inheritance. We asked our Accountant to recommend an Independent Financial Adviser and she recommended Liam at Goodwill Financial Planning. She had previously referred Liam to other clients, who had been very satisfied and was happy to recommend him to my husband and I.

How has Liam Best helped you?

Liam listened to our requirements, was very knowledgeable and gave us impartial advice. Liam was patient and took the time to go through the financial report in person, answering all of our questions and ultimately arranging the investments on our behalf.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We have been very pleased with our investments and the continuing service that we receive. Liam continues to monitor our investments, ensures that we use all of our tax allowances, meets us every year and is always on hand if we have any questions. Liam and his team also send regular newsletters.

My husband and I contacted Liam and the Goodwill Financial team. We have accrued sizeable pension and we wanted to be sure that we understood the options available to us so that we could make sound decisions for our future. Liam is extremely friendly and helpful. He visits regularly and will always come to see you if necessary in between appointments. He always contacts you when you request this, either by phone or e mail. All transactions are explained fully and he organises most of these for you. Because Liam is an independent adviser you have to pay a monthly amount however, he is very thorough in what he does and has helped us to invest wisely and increase our savings.

Liam could have advised a little more on our savings which have not gone into shares.
