What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As i am approaching retirement age, i wanted to make sure that we planned for as much financial security as possible when we retire.

How has Neil Rossiter helped you?

Neil reviewed our current lifestyle and our plans for the short term leading up to retirement and then maintaining our chosen lifestyle when we retire. He also considered multiple options including retiring earlier and investing in property to support our desire to be financially secure in our retirement. The information provided was very easy to understand especially in the light of uncertainty that is part of the world we live in, we felt re-assured and now have a very clear understanding of what options are available for us.

There were various outcome models presented, that have allowed us to consider multiple options, all of which have been fully explained in terms of the benefits and any compromises that we would need to make to enjoy a particular option.

I think we can all benefit from a person who can sort through our finances, be objective and reset us on a positive financial course. Neil Rossiter was that person for me having recently been divorced. He took the time to listen, understand my personal saving objectives and my relationship to risk.

I am at the time of life where I want to start planning for my retirements. Also My pensions were many and varied and I felt I needed them sorted out in the best way for a maximum return.

I don't think there is anything. I have an annual meeting with Neil where we discuss all of my finances. He makes sure that I'm on track and puts forward any helpful suggestions but at the end of the day the informed choices are down to me. Honestly couldnt think of anything - Neil is always there if we have a quick query by email or phone meeting as face-to-face is not often easily done due to where we live.

Neil has helped me complete the due diligence associated with being the Power of Attorney for my relatives, and has in the course of the advice and subsequent action that I have taken, enabled me to expand my knowledge of financial products. He clearly understood the circumstances that facilitated the introduction, and was very thorough in researching the current financial state and my needs as PoA representing the estates of my relatives, the commercial proposition was also very competitive. Throughout the process I anticipated that we would follow a certain route in respect of managing the fund available, however, he has helped me and guided me towards selecting the appropriate plan of action through the use of some very clear and simplistic financial modelling, thereby allowing the layman to clearly understand the risks and benefits associated with the various options that are open to manage a fund. His professional and friendly nature and his willingness to always be available to answer questions were very welcome when digesting the comprehensive financial plan that he prepared for me. This was my 1st commercial interaction with a financial advisor and I am relieved that through Neil's professionalism it was also a rewarding experience.

As this was my 1st interaction with a Financial advisor, I am not sure that Neil could have done anything better, I am completely satisfied with the interaction, the result and the cost of the advice, and will certainly have no hesitation in using Neil in the future, as needs arise.

He sends me helpful information and emails from time to time and reminds me when our annual review is due. He takes a friendly interest in my family life and well-being and tailors his advice to my personal needs. Neil has always given sound financial advice. As an amateur when it comes to understanding the world of investments , Neil has the ability and patience to explain the 'markets' in layman's terms for me, complete with diagrams!! Neil has enabled me to gain greater confidence in understanding my investments and is always at the end of the phone or email if I ever have a query for my investments or my mothers. Through sound practice and knowledge, Neil has invested my savings well, and the growth over the past 4 years, continues to grow.
