Raymond is able to fully understand my business and my wishes and plans for the future. He explains financial matters in a clear and concise way with very little technical jargon. He is extremely easy to talk to and his manner, whilst businesslike is pleasant and friendly. In a relatively short time he has made a huge difference to the financial performance of my business.

Advised on formation of company rather than sole trader and explained pros and cons and tax implications etc. going forward he provides templates and accounts advise and prepares annual returns and VAT advice. He keeps me on track with spending and saving !.

My company has been expanding year on year, We have diversified our product range and marketing strategy and have enjoyed a significant increase in our on-line presence and success. In addition to excellent growth in our core business based here in the UK, we have also moved into many new global markets and now receive sales from all over the world. Global sales brought many different challenges and as the company grew it came apparent that we needed an accountant that was forward thinking and understood not only all aspects of supplying our products globally, but also advising on the financial forecasting, tax planning and employment of new staff along with the day to day running of our accounts.

In 2006 formed a limited company company.

Kept us right on all matters concerning accounting and tax, set up our computer system with the best programs suited to our business.

We have built the company up over the last 9 years to now have a turn over of around 3 million and Raymond has helped along the way with good advice which we have taken on board. It would be fair to say we have been very happy with the way things have gone.

What could they have done better?

I don't think there is anything Raymond could have done better. He is at the end of a phone anytime we need help, he visits us every three months to do our VAT and to go over anything we need to discuss.

I had previously had a dreadful situation with an accountant who had made quite a mess of my book-keeping. I was recommended to use Raymond following this.

How has Raymond Hutt helped you?

Raymond did an initial Audit of my bookkeeping which was quite a complicated arrangement of Limited Companies and Sole Trader businesses. He identified problems and risks and then implemented a much more straight forward streamlined approach which created efficiencies across the board both in administration, tax efficiency, tax planning and risk analysis.

Yes I am very happy with the work Raymond and his team have done for my business.

What could they have done better?

The only suggestion was to have an office closer to my business. Luckily Raymond has opened one in St Andrews which is very handy for meetings or queries.

Advising on the best professional format for the overall management of the company and the preparation of Companies House submissions, tax matters and payroll and pension legislation.

Expanding business with further expansion. Outcomes have been affected by Government legislation and the general downturn following the banking crisis.

I expected 100% attention to detail, preparation of management accounts, submission of all tax information and auditing, I received 110% because they look outside the box highlighting other areas within the business where other professionals have made errors.

Raymond Advised the best type of bookkeeping software for financial staff, and provided training for this. Raymond explained the situation for taxation etc, and has advised on an ongoing basis, as the needs of the Company have changed. Raymond provides advice on property purchase, and tax efficiency both at Corporate and Personal level. Raymond is approachable, friendly, deals with things in a straightforward and easy to understand way, and is easy to get hold of!.
