Grant was excellent and clearly explained my options which I need to explore in greater detail. He is extremely personable and I enjoyed meeting him. Overall, I was extremely impressed; he gave me a very generous amount of his time and when I have decided which route to go down (which may take a little time) I am sure I will use him.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

redundancy and need to reassess my two DC pensions and possible DB scheme transfer. I would have wanted advice and in any case was legally required to seek advice from IFA re the possible DB scheme transfer.

How has Grant Pendleton helped you?

He asked comprehensive questions about my circumstances, concerns and range of potential future needs (very few can say they have concrete future plans) He explained the process for transfer and especially with the DB scheme we went in detail through the evaluation report and its implications. Finally he identified a suitable fund for my funds that met my requirements for balanced security/growth. He was working against tight deadlines due to the DB scheme valuation and also had to use other trusted IFAs for the DB transfer. Throughout all he has worked hard to ensure actions met the deadlines.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. Deadlines were met and I'm happy with my new consolidated pension account which I have a realtime view of online. Fees were negotiated in view of the fund size and were competitive.

What could they have done better?

At the very start of the process Grant was busy with other business and I had some concerns when he didn't reply to communications. However once underway things improved and I am very happy re this area now.

Looking to transfer my final salary pension into a more flexible scheme where I would have more control over my money.

How has Grant Pendleton helped you?

Impartial advice, no pressure and very informal. I felt at ease with Grant from the off. Grant explained many of the plus and negative outcomes with my proposed pension transfer.

I am getting to that age where I needed my pension lookedat to see if I would survive on the amount of money I could receive. Also I have 4 pensions and needed advice on what to do about the small ones.

How has Grant Pendleton helped you?

He looked at all my pensions and advised on what I could expect from them. He also talked about lump sums and the benefits of taking the lump sum and investments and different annuities . He helped me feel more clear on my future income.

i am getting to the age where i needed to have a look at my pensions i have accrued over the years and whether they were sufficient when at pension age and also was there anything i could do to boost their value. I also wanted to check their value and whether to take a percentage of the pot as a lump sum.

How has Grant Pendleton helped you?

Greg looked at all my pensions and took the time to help me understand the implications of taking a percentage of the pot as a lump sum and helped to forecast my potential sum i would expect to receive. He was professional and not pushy at all. His advice was first class and i feel i have a better understanding of my options as i come to the end of my working life. He explained it in a way i could understand and went back over anything i was unsure of. i feel i now have my pensions sorted and could confidently recommend Greg to anyone.

the outcome was perfect, i could not have asked for better. I have a clear understanding of my pensions and can confidently retire knowing my finances are in order.
