Yes so far, Pension funds have been moved to a more suitable platform which is easy and clear to use, and more importantly in one place.

I had been very nervous about how best to deal with my pensions and investments, Dan is very professional and explained everything in a very informative and calm manner, helping me understand how everything works. One of my pensions was particularly challenging but Dan achieved the desired outcome, I was even awarded with some compensation from the pension provider in question.

I was changing my employment and wanted to maximise and combine the various pensions I had from different employments.

Dan Ross was a superstar chasing down long forgotten pensions and having to unravel the complexities of the pensions being "managed" ( or more like non managed !) by Mercer. He has also been very knowledgeable and helpful with our financial planning for our futures.

So far, yes . DObviously , recent years have seen un forseen and never experienced financial issues due to Covid. Dan has been a calm head in the storm.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Having a number of pensions in different places, I was hoping my amateur assessment of my retirement options would see me right. I was encouraged by a colleague to investigate my situation given the years were passing by and retirement was getting closer.

How has Daniel Ross helped you?

Dan helped me to make sense of the situation with five different pensions, providing signposting and support to make a complicated situation understandable. Dan challenged my thinking and has made it possible by assessing and arranging my pension in such a way that will allow me to retire with confidence, three years earlier than I thought might have been possible. Dan has also ensured both my wife and I are up to date with our State Pensions, so we have confidence these will be full pensions when that date finally arrives. Dan has also provided useful guidance around tax issues that will be different when I retire, things that I probably wouldn't have discovered or thought of.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

From having five separate pensions, I have one main pension pot that has been arranged so that I can retire when I am ready. Dan's advice and support means that I will be reducing my working week to three days for the next few months in a gentle wind down to retirement next March. This has exceeded what I was hoping for as an outcome.

We were looking for help and advice for finding a new mortgage to move home, particularly to validate our initial thoughts and help find us a good deal, and Dan was recommended to us.

After an initial consultation to understand our financial position, Dan put us in touch with one of the mortgage advisors, Roberto, at Hartley Ross to arrange a mortgage. Dan went above and beyond by also providing advice on maximising pension allowances, and how that might affect how much we decided to borrow. Dan also helped us with a recommendation for a surveyor, who we were also very happy with.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to consolidate my multiple pensions after a change in my working circumstances and a financial health check advice on the best way to achieve this. Hartley Ross were recommended after a friend had used them to consolidate their financial circumstances.

How has Daniel Ross helped you?

Daniel reviewed my financial circumstances and then proceeded to provide advice on the best method to achieve the goals I had, Daniel also discovered additional pensions that were held by trustees and successfully transferred all pensions in to one easy to manage platform. When i started the process , 1 x pension trustees were proving to be very difficult with slow or no communication back to queries. Daniel took over and acted on my behalf and through his diligence manged to get the information relating to my pension scheme and benefits. Daniel's determination and professionalism eventually got the pension transferred to a more accessible platform and available for when i need it!!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Absolutely !! Daniel not only consolidated the pensions I knew about , he found 2 x other pensions !, He also after an extremely long drawn out process of several months ( which was not of Daniel's making) with1 x pension provider trustees managed to get my pension released . All the pensions were transferred to 1 x platform which was my original intention so objective achieved.

What could they have done better?

Nothing in my opinion !!! Daniel's efforts in getting the issues surrounding 1 x pension provider couldn't have been performed any better, I am very satisfied with Daniel's efforts on my behalf.

He introduced me to a Company that undertook Pension Transfers who then undertook work as to whether a transfer was in my best interests and when it was established that it was they undertook the necessary transfers. Daniel supported me throughout the process and helped ensure that the process went as smoothly as possible. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I'm an independent consultant and approached Dan to help with financial planning having transitioned from permanent employment. I've also continued to work with Dan for ongoing changes such as remortgaging and changes that were planned for the future. I was, for many years, investing through the Principality BS, with their help of their Financial Adviser, but, on one occasion when I was involved with Lloyd's Bank, I met Dan. When he decided to work for himself, he told me and I agreed to join him as a client.
