I wanted to take a long term approach to planning and achieving my financial goals. I also wanted to consolidate my pensions in a third party platform that wasn't tied to a previous employer with more choice of funds.

I initially was looking for someone to talk to about a DB Pension that I had.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had so many Pension Pots scattered with various different providers and so I wanted to consolidate and bring the charges down and handle all under one roof also discuss tax planning as I had a pay rise.

Yes the advice I was given was clear and understanding and now all pots part from one of pensions cant be transferred as its a DB Pension

I met with Kieron to discuss consolidating my pension but also see advice on the funds in which I should invest as I want to grow what I have whilst I am still young. My pensions are in the process of being transferred and I am happy with the fund choice as well. I feel I can now sit back and forget my pension for now.

Yes, Ciaran has been clear in his advice, he will be doing projections of future value possibilities (nobody ever did that before for me!) and he has already worked harder in 1 month than any of my previous advisors have in 5 years.

I was disillusioned with my current pension company St James's Place Wealth Management. I was introduced to Ciaran via a friend and after quite a few meetings together I felt comfortable engaging Ciaran to review my portfolio.

How has Ciaran Scanlon helped you?

Ciaran made me feel instantly comfortable and also made me feel like he was setting out a path to retirement and it was advice rather than an order take and sales process. Ciaran has managed to move part of a complex historic pension into a larger pension, something I was told was too difficult by my previous advisor. This is now a much larger fund to work with and grow.

So far I've been more than impressed as what I was told was too hard to do has been done. Setting the bar far higher than I have been used to.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

For a couple years I had been looking for a pension plan/investment to start for myself but something in place for my little boy. I could never find what I was looking for. I got quite fed up of being poached from third party company’s and not listened to. I wanted someone to listen to what I wanted, to show me the right direction and quite frankly just put it all in simple terms.

Ciaran helped me by not only explaining my options but just taking the time to generally ‘know your client’. He listened to every word and every question. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had received quotes from my existing mortgage and protection adviser which seemed much higher than I was expecting for the level of cover that my policies included. They had also only provided me quotes for half the level of cover. Upon conducting some of my own research I was able to find some quotes for £35 cheaper per month for some of the areas I was looking for. I decided to seek a second opinion from another financial adviser and Ciaran was recommended to me.

How has Ciaran Scanlon helped you?

Ciaran was really friendly and approachable and he assessed my circumstances within 1 day of me contacting him. He then went away to search for some quotes for me and by the end of the week he came back to me with quotes with the same provider that my previous adviser had recommended with DOUBLE the amount of cover included at the SAME price.

Yes, Ciaran definitely gave me the ideal outcome in my situation. I now have a policy that gives me fantastic value for money and it was also all completed in a very timely manner. Ciaran removed all the stress from the process and put me at ease that he would definitely be able to find something that would fit my cirucmstances
