My former employer was not willing to pay my required redundancy and also treatment was deemed unfairly.

I needed advice and help with a very difficult situation with my employer.

I was taking voluntary redundancy and seeking to continue occasional work for the company as a freelance.

How has Jay Bhayani helped you?

Jay immediately grasped my concerns about the paperwork and implications. She checked the contracts and advised me of points to question. Her service was above and beyond... she came over to meet me, as it would have been difficult to get to her office, and also checked over my new freelance contract which wasn't part of the original deal.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, I was able to take voluntary redundancy and to continue providing my services as a freelance... giving me more time to run my own business from home.

Our organisation has used Jay for HR advice for a number of years, she always gives sound, professional advice that is easy to follow. Jay turned a truly horrendous employment situation into a life changing release. I have since formed my own limited company going from strength to strength. I am fairly sure that without Jay's support, I would not have been able to see my way clearly out of the situation I was placed in by my former employer. One of the most worrying times of my career occurred when I had mounting issues in the workplace. Initially it was a frightening situation because I did not want to 'rock the boat' and cause myself any more issues as I was on the brink of just quitting my job. Without going into too many further details, one must understand the kind of pressure I was subject to. A good family friend of mine recommended Jay to get me out of this predicament. Upon contacting her, her empathy towards me was so caring; it was like she had all the time in the world for me and listened to my confusion. Once I had discussed it, Jay told me 'in English' what our next steps were to be. I do not feel confident in my understanding of legal procedures, hence I was relieved to hear Jay plan everything so clearly. Moving forward, Jay has resolved my problems successfully and I cannot recommend her enough, and therefore I am wanting to write this review to tell all potential clients to make the right choice and feel positive whilst doing it.

How has Jay Bhayani helped you?

Jay advised me and conducted negotiations on my behalf to improve a settlement agreement from my employer. She proved to be an invaluable source of advice and a determined negotiator. We came away with an excellent settlement. Jay kept me updated at each stage of the negotiations. Her communications and responsiveness were excellent. She works long and unsocial hours to get the best for her clients. My ex-employer's HR department and their solicitor seemed to take Jay's intervention personally. I see this as an indication of Jay's effectiveness.

What could they have done better?

At billing time, there were unexpected charges for letters and phone calls. Jay had clearly explained her hourly rate and an estimate of how long the case would take to settle which I accepted but, perhaps naively, I didn't expect to cover additional costs for these communications. However, I consider these charges to be fair. My only comment is that they were unexpected.
