Adrian spent time with me to understand my personal and business circumstance. From there he advised what steps we should take to plan for the future and the unexpected. He took time to explain everything in detail so I was fully informed before making a decision. So far Adrian has set up a pension fund for me, as well as income protection and life insurance policies. Adrian was also able to recommend a solicitor to write Wills for my partner and I. I am not sure but I think it is about 15 years that Adrian has been my adviser with Edward Jones, Towry and now ADH Wealth. It is difficult to remember all the circumstances but I was about to transition from employment income to self employed and pension income.

Adrian helped me make sound financial decisions when my wife was terminally ill and all my finances were changing in many ways. He was always meticulous in handling pension transfers and paperwork. Yes. The financial sector seems full of baffling technical jargon and financial concepts that can be hard to understand for people who don't work in this sector on a daily basis; while Adrian's advice is always clear, there may be some merit in including a short glossary or similar in the formal reports issued by SJPP to aid understanding by a non-technical reader.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to review my old company pensions and understand if they were invested properly and if they were going to be enough to fund my retirement in fifteen years.

How has Adrian Hanger helped you?

I was really surprised at how much detail Adrian could provide about my pensions and he prepared a forecast of how much my pension would be worth or the rest of my life if I continue to contribute existing levels. He demonstrated that in order to achieve my retirement goals I would need to alter how my pension is invested and how much more I need to invest each month.
