He gave me very valuable and professional advice on how to access my pension. He listened carefully to what I wanted and with his considerable experience and knowledge advised me of the best way to access my money, taking into consideration tax and charges which would be most beneficial to me.

Yes definitely. He provided a quick and trustworthy response. Explaining everything in detail in layman's terms, giving me great confidence in his ability and experience. I feel very safe in his hands which will give me the best use of my money and a carefree retirement.

Please provide a brief comment about your experience with Trevor

Trevor has previously helped my husband and I with a mortgage and was brilliant at just getting it all sorted and chasing the provider for us, when needed. Trevor has just helped me piece together all of my "bits" of pension and has come up with a really comprehensive and easy to understand plan. I have absolutely no idea about pensions, but luckily Trevor does, so I have just handed it all over and will leave in his capable hands, probably until I retire!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Trevor has been my FA for several years before my father died in Autumn 2019 and I needed help with his estate and managing probate and finances for my mother, in care. I faced redundancy at the time and my sister’s situation led to Trevor supporting us both, working with a lawyer and the Court of Protection, to release gifts to support us in difficult times.

Immensely. I could not have faced the enormity of what we have had to do without his wise, considered counsel. Trevor is hugely knowledgable, talented and experienced. We are now in more stable and far happier times and I am extremely grateful for Trevor’s reassuring guidance. We trust his decisions implicitly.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, without a doubt or hesitation. Outcomes for products have exceeded expectations and we are comforted significantly knowing Trevor has his eye over the family estate.

What could they have done better?

Nothing whatsoever! When we moved across country and closer to my sister, Trevor visited to reassure my sister whom he’d only met on Zoom during probate in 2020 due to lockdown and the distance.

We have had a financial advisor for many years since starting personal pension policies when we were younger. Over the years we have changed advisor several times in order to get the best advice for us.

How has Trevor Taylor helped you?

Trevor has been advising us now for several years. We live overseas but he contacts us every year for an in depth discussion on our current circumstances, requirements and to generally discuss the performance of our pension pot. He is always available should we have any questions or worries during the course of the year.

Despite the volatility of the financial markets in the past couple of years our pensions are performing well.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was at a time in my life when a lot was changing. One of my parents had died and another was in full time care. I was also managing a long term health condition and therefore a financial review and planning for the future on behalf of myself and wider family was necessary.

How has Trevor Taylor helped you?

Trevor helped to organise and structure the overwhelm and put it into a manageable framework. He is very patient and clear and doesn't mind being asked questions and this made it all seem quite straight forward. Trevor also has some sensible suggestions and will explain why he thinks they are good with evidence and clarity. I feel he is a financial adviser that one can trust to work on behalf of his clients and I would recommend him to others.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The ideas Trevor and I have discussed have been put into place and I have faith that Trevor is keeping a close eye on things and has my best interests at heart. I feel satisfied with the plans and look forward to reviewing things as and when necessary.

What could they have done better?

We have communicated a lot over video links due to geographical distance and issues relating to Covid. One the government had released Covid restrictions a little, Trevor actually took some time out to travel some considerable distance to meet me in person and discuss matters face to face. So, in this way, nothing could have been done better. I am perfectly satisfied with the service received from Trevor thus far.

I was initially looking for investing advice for some savings and general financial planning.

How has Trevor Taylor helped you?

Trevor helped me assess my options and took me through a detailed financial modeller based on my family's milestone goals (e.g. children's university fee planning). He helped us narrow down the best outcome for our savings taking into account how liquid we needed the funds to be and creating the best possible return. Trevor also helped us plan for our future and we've now created a will and taken out critical illness cover to ensure our children are looked after should anything happen to us. Trevor has helped me enormously over the past five years on how best to manage and understand my pension portfolio as it is such a complicated and complex area. He explains the complexities in such a manner in which you can understand, certainly to a better degree, and he really takes an interest on how to get the best from your pension taking into account your personal goals/aspirations.

I found Trevor on LinkedIn whilst looking for some financial advice. My husband and I have set ourselves up with a slightly complicated multiple mortgage and pension situation and were trying to work out the best way forward. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As I have been saving towards my retirement all my working life, I needed to find someone on my wavelength, who took the trouble to understand my not overly complicated but not straightforward situation and circumstances. Someone who didn't put me under any pressure to jump one way or another, left it to me to decide having furnished me with all the facts and ultimately was someone I could trust. It took a while to find that person until I was personally recommended by a friend to speak to Trevor.

How has Trevor Taylor helped you?

Trevor came highly recommended from a good friend of mine who took early retirement and who became a client of Trevor's again through recommendation. I needed reassurance that I was on the right track with my retirement savings, had them in the right places and that they were doing as well as they should be. He came to see me, took all the information I gave him and spent time getting to know my situation. He went away and created a presentation for my wife and I that charted what retirement would look like and how it would be funded off the back of that. We discussed insurances and wills and addressed areas where we, as a family, were lacking in cover. He was very thorough, remains very thorough and is now someone I turn to for general comment and help and not just financial advice.

The reinvestment of an underperforming pension has borne fruit at more than the expected annual return, despite the current difficult headwinds affecting all economies. All other insurances are in place and will work for us if we need them. I have, in Trevor, a great source of knowledge and advice which in today's climate is very reassuring.
