My parents had left me an inheritance and I was looking to use it for future retirement and needed long term financial planning advice.

How has Kriss Woodward helped you?

Kriss has been my mainstay. He has guided me through the maze of financial planning. Carefully considered my needs, values and future plans. Where there has been any queries or questions I found Kriss always available to answer and assist. So I have enjoyed my retirement, planned for future ventures and felt supported along the way, thanks Kriss.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It has been a big step from the beginning but has provided me with a stress free, comfortable time where I know I have someone at hand to assist should my needs change and new ideas require planning.

What could they have done better?

So far I have been very happy with the service, help, advice and assistance I have received. Everything has been outlined in a jargon free way and I have been able to tackle life's changes throughout this time with Kriss's help and advice.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I have known Kriss for a number of years, and have always relied on his sound advise especially in the pension area where we were able to put several independent pensions into one central fund.

Kriss has continued to advise on my pension funds and help look into a Trust for an elderly relative requiring long term care.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Having taken early retirement, I felt it would be prudent to seek expert help in my financial planning. I was introduced to Kriss in January 2019 and I am pleased to say that Kriss has been of great help!

How has Kriss Woodward helped you?

Kriss helped me with transfer of my company pension. Where my pension fund was with the previous company, it was not performing as well as I thought it ought to. Kriss was able to help me with this and the performance of the funds has exceeded my expectations. Kriss also helped me with the transfer of ISA funds which are also performing much better compared to where my funds were previously.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

In a word. YES! In actual fact, it has exceeded my expectations. Very happy indeed.

What could they have done better?

All Kriss has to do is to carry on doing what he does. Keep giving great financial advise with regular annual reviews!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I moved back to the UK after 15 years overseas and basically needed to start some retirement planning and invest a small sum of capital as a starting point

How has Kriss Woodward helped you?

He has helped me invest approriately with a firm plan in mind for my retirement. He works out how I can be most tax efficient in my pension planning and has been responsible for consolidating some earlier pensions that I had. He has been able to explain what he is doing/suggesting and why and also keep me updated on what is going on with my investments. We have also started to reduce some of the risk i have in a modest share portfolio - this is a work in progress. He can explain things in plain english - becuase lets face it - finance is anything but simple. Kriss has also introduced me to other experts to assist me with tax assessments, mortgage issues and share management.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I think so yes. I mean right now the markets are diabolical, so i know the numbers are not going to be exactly what I want to see but thats something we cant change. However, i do believe my funds are being managed to minimise the risk/losses. I have a much clearer picture of what i need to do and why I am doing it with regards to pension planning.

What could they have done better?

Not much really, unless he could just read all my correspondance and put it all into one paragraph that i can read quickly and understand absolutely everything- but sadly, he is not a magician!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wished to find an IFA to help me plan for my retirement. I had several pensions which were underperforming. Mr Woodward was recommended to me personally by an ex colleague of mine, someone I have known for many years.

How has Kriss Woodward helped you?

Kriss explained the benefits (and potential problems) when considering moving my pension. Everything he said, all the information he provided and all the data he presented was clear and professional. My wife (who has her own personal pensions) was also involved in these conversations and meetings. In the end we each decided to consolidate our pensions, so we each now have our pensions invested in St. James' Place Wealth Management.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Too early to say, but I am very happy with the service provided by Kriss Woodward and I am confident his advice will produce a positive outcome for my pension investment.

Dear Kriss, I wanted to write this short note to both thank and congratulate you and Woodward Financial Planning for your professional and thorough handling of our recent life insurance policy set up. Despite the requirements not being straightforward, you helpfully navigated us through the options that enabled us to get the best cover at the best price to provide for our children and pay off the mortgage in the event anything ever happens to either of us. I often find my clients just want their marketing dealt with and don’t have the time or inclination to get into the nuts and bolts. So it was for us with our life insurance policy. It was great to have you in our corner as a trusted advisor to know the ins and outs and what the best balance of cost-to-cover was. It’s a big relief to know that this area is all squared away and we are able to happily forget about it – and hopefully never need to use it! I will definitely be recommending you to sort out friends and family’s life insurance whenever the need arises.

Following the loss of a loved one to ensure that we were making informed choices about our money and investments. Saving for the long term with the intention of making provisions for the future.

I didn't have a pension, but knew that I should. I met Kriss and he was able to help me.

How has Kriss Woodward helped you?

I used to panic every time someone mentioned the word pension to me, and for years I had been looking for someone to help me sort this out. The problem was that I didn’t really know what a pension was, and it seemed like nobody wanted to help me. Then I met Kriss. After a couple of meetings I had a much better understanding of what the options were and was able to make an informed decision about what to do. Kriss met me several times, talked me carefully through the options about how to most effectively invest the money I had available. He was very patient and professional and made sure I understood what I was doing.. After around six months I am pleased to report that my investment is already worth substantially more than what I put in, and I am looking forward to watching it continue to grow!
