What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to transfer out of a work pension to a self invested pension. I already know this was right for my own personal circumstances but Adrian did all the fact finding and arrived at the same conclusion. He was very thorough, supporting and able to help me with this. Alternative providers were not prepared to get involved with pots less than a certain value but Adrian did not discriminate.

Absolutely. This was all done and executed perfectly. I had a couple of pensions that I wanted to transfer into my SIPP and I needed a specialist to give me advice on whether it was the right thing to do and if so to facilitate the process for me.

Adrian explained the things that needed to be considered and conducted a review of whether he would recommend the transfer - having identified that given my circumstances it would be beneficial he and his staff facilitated the process. They supported me through the various stages explaining the process as we went.

Yes the pension transfers were made and my funds are now consolidated.

What could they have done better?

Nothing - one transfer was delayed by the administrators of the fund concerned. They breached their own guidelines and I was owed a penalty payment as a result, Adrian's team stayed involved after the transfer until the penalty payment was made.

I have know Arian for about five years now, firstly through his dealings with my wife's pensions. I needed to take my pensions away from their existing companies that I was not happy with and re direct them to a more protective scheme as he had sorted previously with my wife's.

He made the transfers from my existing pension companies to the new with absolute ease and no messing. His advice along with the team to me are excellent and extremely professional. Unlike the majority of other financial advisers i spoke to Adrian was non pushy with charges that were below the industry average that i would consider value for money. Other IFAs should take note. I would recommend Adrian to other like minded individuals looking for a complete all encompassing user friendly and professional service.

I have now transferred my DB pension and after a further 12 months of monitoring Adrian's investment style and performance, the rest of my pensions are now to be managed by Adrian and his team. Having worked in City for 30 years i didnt take this decision lightly as i have preferred to self manage historically. However Adrian and his team convinced me that their risk based approach and asset allocation was excellent.
