How has James Hammond helped you?

James has access to all kinds of mortgages. Under one roof not only did he find a great rate on a mortgage for the house I have bought, at the same time he re-mortgaged a number of my rental properties. Completions co-ordinated to enable me to purchase a fantastic house.

Yes. One of his team, Cathrine, worked fast and efficiently along side James, thereby being on the case with all elements of the mortgage/re-mortgage processes.

Everything runs really smoothly, and very quick to return phone calls and emails. so cannot think how to improve.

James took on our case in April 2021 but was unable to find a lender, and a meeting scheduled for August did not go ahead with a particular lender. After more months of asking for updates, he gave reasons for lack of progress but by early October we were desperate to know whether he could help or not, as we would have understood if he couldn't as our case was not an easy win. He did not bother to reply. From mid October we engaged another company and obtained a re-mortgage this year.

Looking to buy a second property. James did a superb job with my first purchase I wanted to get his input and advice. He changed the mortgage on my first house so I was able to rent it out and release some equity to help as a deposit. Also recently discovered he helps with pensions so that’s a bonus!

We didn't complete the process because of something that fell through on our end. Charges weren't mentioned as we weren't at that point in discussion. I found James to be very speedy and helpful just at the time we needed it. I will go back to James when we are next looking to remortgage.

The do-it-yourself mortgage offers you see on those price comparison sites often omit deals that brokers have exclusive access to and it’s actually a total ball-ache having to go through all the long and arduous paperwork - which Lime Tree covered for me :).

How has James Hammond helped you?

Having just experienced the worst service imaginable upon meeting with a prior mortgage broker, I had little hope when walking into Lime Tree Financial Services Ltd. I was, however, quickly relieved of the sour taste in my mouth when I met with Jason Hammond, Managing Director for Lime Tree. The manner within which I was treated surpassed all my expectations. I trusted his judgement completely. I found the whole customer service experience a positive one; James was a lovely chap and very open with my mortgage options (it felt more like he was looking out for me, rather than acting as a pushy salesman).

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Having initially opted to stick with a 5 year-fixed term contract, I was immediately swayed by the mouth-watering deals he had access to as a broker. I was even able to save £1000 with a cashback scheme with the Halifax! Thanks James! I couldn’t recommend them enough.

On both occasions he travelled into London a few times to visit me in person at my home and my husband's office as he appreciated I had a lot of questions and wanted to ensure I was 100% comfortable to go line-by-line through the paperwork. Many reasons over many yeats. Wanting to get the best deal on a mortgage, remortgaging, equity release and general financial advice.

How has James Hammond helped you?

He found the best mortgage for me, arranged it via dealing directly with the mortgage companies which by in turn meant I recieved mortgage offers which wouldn't be possible by applying directly myself. He did the same when I remortgaged.
