We were looking to re-mortgage and our current lender had completely abandoned us. Our current lender advised us to 'go elsewhere'. This left us really quite anxious.

We were first-time buyers, and found many aspects of the house buying process daunting. We were also aware that the mortgage market was entering quite a volatile period, as we were viewing properties in the summer of 2022.
