First time buyers who were recommended Rob from a friend who had previously used his services, he came very highly recommended and he absolutely delivered the highest quality service, nothing was to much trouble, he was always responsive and looking for the best deal for us and even changed our mortgage rate to a better deal at the very last minute just before exchange which was just brilliant for us, we'll be forever grateful for Robs professionalism, courteous manner and knowledge of the mortgage industry which is a mine field for a first time buyer. In summary a totally professional and brilliant service.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My partner and I were looking to buy our first home together, we had gone to a couple of the high street banks but due to buying the property at auction and the strict terms behind auction purchases, needed someone with a bit more knowledge and also a bit more speed. I knew of Rob and others that had used him with excellent service, so I approached Rob for help.

How has Robert Freeman helped you?

Buying at auction is a riskier method of purchase. If you do not complete within ~45 days to the limit, then you waive your deposit which in our case was around £15k. We found this quite daunting but loved the property. I spoke to Rob after the high street banks quoted terrible figures and long timescales, and Rob found the best deals that achieved exactly what we needed. Rob also had very useful advice, for example using one lender rather than another would cut down the survey time for a faster result... This was incredibly valuable and helped with our purchase and the timescales. We eventually completed within 44 days which was close, but the fastest part of the process was definitely Rob, Janet, and Hitchell Mortgages.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, we managed to obtain our mortgage for a great rate, better than we could find on our own, and it was if anything the fastest part of the process. Rob and his administrator, Janet, chased everyone involved regularly and sped things up. The advice received was excellent, including useful tips for auction process and speeding up the purchase process.

What could they have done better?

Nothing really. We even got flowers sent to our address once we had moved in from Rob and Janet. I honestly couldn't ask for more.
