If you’re ever looking for the best mortgage help ever I can’t recommend Jennie Delelis (Independent Mortgage Broker) of Evolution Financial Planning - Female IFAs highly enough. I thought I had one more year on my fixed rate buy-to-let mortgage and had the surprise of my life when I received a letter from my lender that in 2 week’s time my repayments would quadruple!!! Panicked to say the least, I’d let that ball drop and felt caught out big time. Messaged my go-to IFA Rebecca Robertson Ifa (founder of Evolution Finance) on Sunday. We wanted to remortgage our property.

Jennie was recommend by my cousin, and from the outset, Jennie was amazing with her advice, transparency, and honesty about our situation, which was seemed very complicated from our perspective, however Jennie gave us the time to think through our options with no pressures applied, and was available to talk though our queries objectively. Jennie found us the best available deal under the (fast changing) circumstances, and chased the mortgage supplier repeatedly to get it over the line before it vanished, too. Great tenacity, reliable, timely communication (by text or through the dedicated secure portal), and always a Plan B (and, in this case, Plan C) if something doesn't work out.

I am newly self-employed and had only 2 years of accounts to show for mortgage. I’m also a first- time buyer. We found one building society that would lend to me with guarantors (parents) over the age of 50 (they are 67), but the lady we were dealing with insisted that we could not proceed without my dad having 25 years life insurance. We were completely stuck, even when we spoke to the manager she kept insisting that we went to the insurance but company they work with.

How has Jennie Delelis helped you?

Jennie advised that as my dad was over the age of 50, he did not need Life Insurance, and as our financial situation was very good, the mortgage was not dependent on having Life insurance. As a financial advisor, Jennie deals directly with the underwriters, and they did not require my dad to have life insurance. I had to move out of my rented house within a few weeks, so Jennie worked tirelessly to push the whole process along much quicker than it usually would go.

Jennie went above and beyond her responsibility to us as clients, she is very calm and immaculate in her attention to all details. Through her we received an offer from the same building society that we had been trying to deal directly with ourselves - that offer came a week before the building society even decided that we did not have to have life insurance! Jennie liased with all parties extremely quickly and efficiently. We have never used a financial advisor before, had never found any need to, but in this situation we couldn’t have done it without Jennie’s help, and will definitely work with her again in the future.

We wanted to secure our mortgage repayments in the uncertain financial climate pre-Brexit, and be able to have a flexible option at the time we begin to draw our pensions.

To be honest I was confused with the amount of policies I had out with multiple insurer, so I approached Jennie to see if she could work out if there was anything I can do rather than just renewing what I already had. like most of us when it come to insurrance simply used to stick my head in the sand and let the payments roll on from yeat to year.

To be honest, I am not sure there is anything to say that is negative, the most thrustrating part of everything was having all the details to hand to complete all the forms, that thrustration was caused by my lack of paperwork management skill. Jennie was patient and explained everything more than once to me, I had a lot of questions. Jennie had all the answer and kept calm and profeesional, many people wouldnt as insurance really stress me out.
