What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to combine my pensions into a single better platform, as I am approaching my mid-50's it was also very important for me to be best prepared for future tax-free drawdown planning and obtain future financial forecast planning for best choice on future draw down and futire retirement plans

Yes. I have also been very impressed with the performance of my recommended/ investments since working with James approx. 6months ago

Nothing. There were some delays caused by former pension provider but James has bene excellent throughout. Very responsive and helpful

James has helped me immensely. I had absolutely no idea of how my private pensions worked which meant I'd just left them to their own accord for decades. James did all the hard work by contacting each Trustee on my behalf and advised me on options I could consider, there was no pressure and the explanations he gave throughout were in plain English. I am now able to monitor and control my finances - superb advice!

Wasn’t happy with a previous adviser.

I transferred my pension from another company as I wasn’t getting much help and information from them. James explained clearly what options I had and was very knowledgeable about it. I wanted advice on life assurance and guidance on which policy to take out. We also wanted older pensions of my partner's located and consolidated into one pension.

How has James Maine helped you?

James Maine recently carried out a full financial review for my partner and I, including producing a Suitability Report, Personal Illustrations and Cashflow Forecasts until retirement and beyond. This was all achieved through two face-to-face consultations, giving me the confidence to switch existing pension funds, as well as taking out a Life Assurance policy that provides great value for money. If anyone else is thinking about financial planning and advice, I would highly recommend James and De Courcy Financial Planning.

Yes, absolutely. My Life Assurance policy is great value and gives me significant financial cover right up until I'm 60, which provides great peace of mind considering I have two young children, a sizeable mortgage and am the primary earner in the family. My pension has been invested into funds that have seen a respectable increase in value since opening the pension, so everything so far is excellent.

Ive never taken the time to look at my pension plans before, James was superb, very helpful and knowledgeable.

James transferred my old plan over to my existing pension, he also advised on changing my pension risk levels which I completely agreed with. We then discussed some cash I had in the bank earning no interest, James advised me on some different options, Im now earning a good return on my investment
