What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

Previously I have completed my taxes on my own however as my work diversified I required professional advice on managing and completing my tax return.

How has Tim Alter helped you?

Tim was very detailed and thorough with all my enquiries which were answered in a detailed and timely manner. He introduced me to a very efficient process for managing my accounts that is both reliable and a time saver. Tim's company were very thorough, professional and friendly throughout and it was clear that they are very supportive and understanding of sole traders. and understanding of a first time user.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

We were having issues with our previous accountant, and we needed more support and guidance, and Tim was highly recommended. We were looking to clean up and sort out all of our accounting, to make sure that it worked better, smarter and faster for us.

How has Tim Alter helped you?

Tim was very helpful in breaking everything down and clearly describing what was needed, and the best ways of accessing the relevant information. Tim was also very proactive in supporting us to have access to all the relevant platforms so that we were much more aware and in control of our own finances, this was in stark contrast to our previous accountant.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, and much more. So much support has been offered to help get us back on track as fast as possible. We now have a much better understanding of what is needed when, what extra information our current platforms can supply us with and how to process all our finances better.

Tim had a very good understanding of the sector and the needs of funders. He also had a very good understanding of our needs.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I needed an accountant to ensure my self-assessment was completed accurately.

How has Tim Alter helped you?

He prepared accounts, advised on what could properly be set-off against income as deductible expenses, and prepared the self-assessment submission. He has also taken care of VAT returns.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I had a terrible accountancy firm before (who shall remain nameless) who were always at least 5 months late submitting our reports and did a very poor job of it too.

How has Tim Alter helped you?

Tim Alter helped us set up a new book keeping system which is easy to use even for a luddite like myself; this has taken a massive amount of pressure of myself and my charity board. He also gave us some wonderful advice on how to keep the trust paperwork up to date and deal with minutes. He has also given us some excellent advise with regards to fundraising, VAT and banks.

Absolutely and more!.

What could they have done better?

Alter Ledger are absolutely ideal. I really couldn't criticise.
