What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

My previous accountant did not submit my self-assessment return for 2018/19 and I was also looking to obtain a mortgage. I was in desperate need to resolve this and to also avoid further penalties and also to complete my 2019/20 return.

How has Vicente Kewley helped you?

He submitted my 2018/19 return within 2 days of first contacting him and submitted my 2019/20 return within a day after that. He also prepared a set of certified sole trader accounts for my mortgage application based on the bookkeeping records available and also certified my tax returns.

Most definitely! Without Vicente I would not have obtained my mortgage and thanks to him I am now finished on the completion of purchasing my property. If this weren't enough he also made sure that I was made aware of relevant tax allowances available to me. My old accountant did not care this much (to the point that my old accountant didn't even file my tax return!) so as far as I am concerned Vicente is the best accountant that I know. I am immensely grateful that I stumbled across Vicente's website.

I had set up my property business but I had not hired an accountant. After about half a year of operation I needed an accountant to offer advice and to complete my company’s accounts and CT600 when the year end would arrive.

How has Vicente Kewley helped you?

I found Vicente at The 42nd Business Show in London that I attended in November 19. He was extraordinarily helpful in making sure I was running my business in a tax compliant manner. Vicente has since provided advice and completed the accounts and corporation tax return for my company. He also has completed my Self-Assessment tax return for the 2019-20 tax year.

Yes. Vicente was fast to reply to my emails and he completed the work ASAP. I was delayed in submitting all of the expense information but as soon as I had finalised this final information Vicente completed the accounts and corporation tax return within an hour. He also made sure all tax allowances were in place. His attention to detail and to make sure that my company paid the correct amount of tax was very welcome.

I have to say, I think I was largely ignorant of the joys of a good accountant before then and had been trying to do things myself and getting it hopelessly wrong. As the self-assessment deadline drew close, I realised I needed urgent help with my tax return from an accountant as it was my first time completing this. Most were no longer willing to take on new clients given the short notice, but Vicente went out of his way to make sure he could help me meet the deadline.

How has Vicente Kewley helped you?

Vicente was able to meet me in person at my office to go through all the information I needed and advised me on factors I'd never have known to include in my self-assessment. He then completed my tax return for me in an incredibly short space of time - and at a great rate! Because of this great service, I took a retainer with him for help with an old tax rebate issue as well as for advice on various other tax topics and he has always gone out of his way to give me the best advice possible.

There have been 1 or 2 errors in terms of information coming from HMRC but it has quickly been fixed and as tax is a fluid thing and the laws are often changed/tweaked it can sometimes be hard to get on top of things, even for accountants.
