I qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 2000 and spent 17 years there gaining significant audit, advisory, regulatory and transaction experience, primarily in the financial services sector. I have worked with global brands such as HSBC, Citigroup and Lloyds and have significant exposure at senior board level, gaining international experience in the Far East and Central and South America, notably spending two years in Mexico as regional director responsible for HSBC Latin America. On my return to the UK I was COO for KPMG Financial Sector Audit and Advisory practice. As the owner of Oculus Accountancy Ltd I build strong relationships with my clients and have a proven track record of providing accounting & tax services to SMEs. Oculus is an award-winning cloud based practice that champions flexible working for all employees by investing in new technology and sharing best practice with our clients. I have experience across a range of industry sectors and varying sizes of business, whether start-ups, owner managed businesses or global companies. I have successfully advised businesses in the enhancement of their financial reporting and internal control processes and have held senior roles in Finance, HR and Compliance. I have also led teams advising on budgeting, forecasting and tax structuring. I am committed to providing a quality personalised service to help my clients maximize their potential. When not working I am renovating my house and enjoy spending time in Devon and Cornwall with my family and dog.
