What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an equity release adviser?
I was looking to retire from a very stressful career. However I required funds to be released to enable me to do so.
How has Kevin Woods helped you?
Right from the start, Kevin was clearly knowledgeable and truthful about the pros and cons of equity release. He was efficient and responsive. He explained equity release in detail putting things in layman's terms and using examples which I found very helpful. He answered all of my questions and concerns in a patient and non patronising manner. He was very approachable and had a lovely friendly manner.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes the equity release has enabled me to get my finances in order and I am now able to retire.
What could they have done better?
I have no complaints or concerns about any aspect of the service provided by Kevin. Therefore I am not in a position to suggest improvements to the service.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an equity release adviser?
We were not quite ready to relocate, so we were looking at Equity Release to provide funds to redeem our interest only mortgage.
How has Kevin Woods helped you?
In the later part of 2024 I had the luck to find Kevin with the aim of arranging a retirement mortgage on what must have been one of the most challenging properties to present for finance, a 375 year old Grade II listed, thatched Cottage. I can only encourage you to contact Kevin, you simply will not find a more genuine, friendly efficient and considerate person to put your trust in.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Using a broker is important as not all products are available directly to individuals however the actual choice of broker to act on your behalf is possibly more important. Kevin went far beyond the expectations of any other mortgage broker I have previously experienced, guiding us through every step of the process which concluded in the successful outcome we were hoping for.
What could they have done better?
Nothing!

Please provide a brief comment about your experience with Kevin
He was very pleasant to speak to when I got to speak to him. Difficult to get hold of. He phoned me one evening at around 8pm. I had friends visiting so didn’t want to pick up and discuss things when they were there. He also phoned on Mother’s Day late afternoon and again I had family visiting. When I did talk to him there were one or two questions I wasn’t sure of but said I would find out and phone him back. I left a voicemail about a week ago. Haven’t heard from him since. I’m disappointed because I’ve wasted that time. He seemed too busy to take on anyone else.

Change & challenge in family circumstances required raising a reasonable amount of capital in order to help the situation.

From first contact, Kevon was extremely helpful. He was scrupulous in investigating my requirements and very quickly offered a range of options to consider. Naturally, he made recommendations based on our shared knowledge but certainly gave time for quiet personal reflection of the alternatives. Having made my decision, he followed through with various companies to achieve offers and maintained contact whilst a decision was made.

Very much so.
