James has advised me over the last few years regarding my pension fund in what has been a very difficult time financially.

We are getting there, with COVID and lockdown it has not been easy to know which direction to take!

Prior to his death 3 years ago my husband dealt with all the financial issues and used the services of Punter Southall. I have been responsible since then and definitely needed the help of a financial adviser.

How has James Nightingale helped you?

James has been extremely helpful. His manner is such that I feel at ease talking to him. He clarifies points and ensures that I understand all the issues. I am therefore more than confident to accept his advice.

The Group James works in, was recommended to me and James responded to my initial request made to the Group. Subsequently, James recommended some steps I needed to take before he would be able to advice me due to the Group's guidelines. Have taken these steps James is drafting some recommendations and cost estimate. I felt he was very thorough in obtaining all the facts and has followed up with emails since all in just a few days. So, first impressions are very positive and reassuring.

Having inherited a forgotten Pension, I was advised by Zurich Insurance Company, to seek Independent Financial Advise.

James was incredibly helpful in providing some specific advice about investments I had inherited but did not completely understand. He was very personable and showed a genuine interest in my financial affairs. In the end we agreed that because of the specific nature of the advice I was seeking he gave me what I needed at no charge. I considered that to be generous as I do not normally get something for nothing. He has given me a few pointers for some possible simple future investments but without seeking to persuade me to be a client as it was not really necessary or appropriate to go to those lengths at this time. I would therefore feel very happy to contact him again if I need more advice in the future.

My husband dealt with all the financial matters before his death two years ago. He used the company for whom James now works. James took over as my financial adviser and I met with him and his predecessor last year.

How has James Nightingale helped you?

Due to the impact of the Coronavirus, my meeting with James was by telephone this year. (I was offered the opportunity to have a video call if preferred.) I had questions to ask and requests to make and I was delighted that both were dealt with in a very clear and helpful manner. All options were made clear.

I am very confident that I will do. I also know that if I feel I need to ask anything else that I can do that in the knowledge that James will be happy to answer my queries.

Nothing more than he has done so far. James' "easy to talk to" manner puts one at ease to discuss topics in which one has little expertise.

I needed an overview of personal finances and future financial planning after a divorce.

How has James Nightingale helped you?

He helped me simplify and consolidate my investments and helped me develop an income plan for the future. He provided me with much needed reassurance by forecasting my future cash flow. He gave me peace of mind that I would cope and have sufficient income for life.

As a result of our meetings I had the confidence to book holidays in Nepal and Australia which previously I had been reticent to do so due to concern over funds.

James's firm have been my pension advisors for many years. I have always found them helpful and professional. James recently took over my account.

How has James Nightingale helped you?

in early 2020 James advised me about how to secure the maximum tax-free income from my last remaining unredeemed pension plan. Subsequently he helped me reinvest the balance in a new scheme which has performed well. I instigated this action in January, before the virus outbreak, which was fortunate in terms of the tax-free lump sum I received. James expedited the work quickly and efficiently and has stayed in touch. 100% happy.

I do not know (or care much) what commission he received from the new pension plan. He deserves recompense for his work - like everyone else.
