What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My husband had several different smaller pensions from previous companies and we wanted to consolidate them all. We had also received an inheritance so we wanted some advice about investments and pensions as we are head towards retirement.

He contacted all the pension providers and brought them together in one place. He did a forecast of our income and savings etc so we could see where we were heading financially.

Yes absolutely. It is only a year since we contacted Russell but we already feel like we have taken control of our finances and therefore, feel in a much better place overall.

What could they have done better?

We genuinely feel Russell did everything he could possibly have done on our behalf. He explained everything as we went along with the process and answered any questions we had honestly and efficiently.

Reviewing and providing longer term projections of my husband and I financial position to inform and support our decision making in preparation for retirement.

Collated this information to demonstrate our current position along with options to support longer term forecasts for our position. Discussed the options with us including associated risks and answered questions. Carried out any follow up work, based on the outcome of our discussions, to support My husband and I decision making. Russell is very timely and responsive with all forms of communication. Russell is flexible in his approach to meetings and explains financial 'jargon' to ensure that we understand and are not making decisions blindly. I find his methodical approach to discussing our financial situation very helpful for my understanding. He is very happy to answer questions and no question is too small.

At this time I feel that there is nothing that Russel could have done better. The quality of and his approach to our meetings, follow up communications, advice and documentation of our financial situation fully meets our needs.
