Facilitating the transfer of the pension pot from my ex-employer, Twinings (ABF), which was a very protracted process. I was concerned that my financial advice was not as seamless as I would have liked since my original contact retired and the new advisor did know me very well. I knew Kate from her earlier role as a Personal Account Manager in our local Bank and was very comfortable in all dealings with her.

In the 4 years that Kate has been our financial advisor I have been very pleased that she understands our requirements / risk profile and that our investments are in excellent hands.

When my wife died, I wanted to ensure that the major part of my retirement savings, (which I had invested in her name because she did not pay income tax) were invested in a safe and financially rewarding organisation. I also wanted advice on how these could best be invested to benefit from Inheritance Tax Allowance..

She selected a company which she felt would achieve these objectives and advised me to select two of their portfolios as one of them would maximise the Inheritance Tax Allowance

Having regard to the current financial situation the two portfolios are not doing as well as expected but I cannot blame Kate for this national problem.

They could have achieved their annual growth percentage forecast by the investment company.

In general yes but Canada Life portfolio customer interface has taken a long time to introduce and it is difficult to get info on the performance.

Made me aware that interface was not in place and there may be significant delays. Still not in place but I am led to believe imminent.

I was about to retire and needed some advice about how to draw my pension and also some advice on investing some funds from a recent property sale

On the pension side, yes, I am pleased with the advice given. On the investment side, I am not sure at the moment. I have yet to see a return on my investments after more than one year.

Kate seems to be a little disorganised at times, though it is usually only minor. Some of the documentation provided seems unnecessarily complex and difficult to understand.
