What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was moving into a new role and also looking at streamlining my finances and wanted to plug any gaps with my pension. Dale has been proactive, always available and his response times have been excellent. There has also been an honesty to his conversations that I liked and trusted. Expectations always managed. I would absolutely recommend Dale and his team. If you are looking for honesty and a team that is driven by ensuring their customers are always put first, then look no further.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Somethings have been perfect, others driven by the markets have underperformed but this is driven by a number of unusual circumstances driven by outside factors. Although I have come to understand from the advice from the outset that this may be the case and you need to be looking at the long term approach

What could they have done better?

Even though not all results in terms of pension returns have been great the advice and honesty from the outset has allowed me to manage my expectations

As I was thinking about retiring at 64 but wasn't quite sure if I could afford to , So I ran a financial planing business in Lisburn , needless to say I am still waiting for the call back , I then came across Dale googling locally and duly booked a appointment for the following week

I sat down with Dale for 2 hours and layed everything out to him and agreed for him to put a plan together, over the next week he requested a few more details and another meeting ,Then Dale produced a plan

So in essence I am able to retire 3 years early, I thought I could but just needed someone to go over things and confirm it

From start to finish dale proved to be friendly and professional and reassuring

I had planned to use my existing pension to purchase a commercial property for my business and my SIPP provider at that time didn't provide this service

Dale was able to set me up with a new SIPP provider who allowed for commercial property purchases

Yes, we successfully completed the purchase of our own building

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My previous adviser simply wasn't getting me any meaningful growth and there was a severe lack of communication or explanation. My pension fund wasn't even keeping up with inflation and the fees were high with mediocre performance.

How has Dale Kirkpatrick helped you?

I have had more information and contact with Dale in the last few months than I have had with my previous adviser in almost 4 years, my only regret is that I didn't trust my instincts and move earlier. The advice that Dale has given me has been logical and clearly presented with all questions answered in layman's terms.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My pension funds have been moved across to the fundment platform, this was an easier process than I was expecting and I didn't need to contact my old advisor at any stage. At this stage it is too early to make any comment on performance but the fundment platform is easy to see what the funds are doing.

What could they have done better?

The process has been managed in a friendly and professional manner to date, communications have been prompt and updated as required, I'm not sure what else could be done to be honest!

As I'm now retired, Dale amalgamated my various private work pensions into one pot and a good one at that! My pot has seen year-on-in gain.
