After graduating in Modern Languages from Manchester University in 1984 I worked in publishing before joining the Financial Services arena in 1986 as an Independent Financial Adviser. In 1995 I was delighted to accept an invitation to join St. James's Place Wealth Management because I felt that the in-house specialists and the distinct St. James's Place approach to investment management significantly enhanced the service I could provide for my clients. I was appointed as a Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management in 1999 and my appointment as a Senior Partner Practice within the Partnership was confirmed by the board of St. James's Place Wealth Management in 2008. "What would I do if I were in my client’s situation?" has always been the basis on which I have formulated my advice. I work closely with a wide range of clients, predominantly City professionals but also business owners, retirees and, very importantly, referrals from my existing clients. We are committed to building and sustaining long-term relationships based on trust, superior service and the quality of our advice. Our objective is to assist our clients in making informed and intelligent financial decisions via a face-to-face holistic advice and service-led proposition, and to ensure that they stay on track through a regular review service. I live in East Sussex with my wife Kate and we have three grown-up children. I am an avid sports fan, more as a spectator than a player these days, with much of my leisure time is taken up with rugby union, cricket and golf.
