Filip Slipaczek, current Principal of the Family Practice has over 30 years of experience and is uniquely 3 times Chartered by examination in Financial Planning, Insurance, and Banking, and is also ISO 22222 Certified. In 2021 The Society of Later Life Accreditation (SOLLA) was obtained. In 2012 Alex joined the family practice having completed an MA (Hons) Degree in Finance from The University of Aberdeen. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the PFS, and ISO 22222 Certified Adviser and holds The Society of Later Life Accreditation (SOLLA) . Max joined the practice in 2014 having completed a 2.1 BSc (Hons) Degree in Finance and Marketing and since August 2020 is also a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the PFS and also holds an advanced mortgage qualification and The Society of Later Life Accreditation (SOLLA). Unlike many wealth management firms, we do not 'dismiss' mortgage business out of hand and believe that acquiring a mortgage for potentially young clients is paramount. However, we do not deal with any form of adverse credit mortgages. The family practice offers the most up-to-date technological solutions to a client's holistic financial planning needs. As our main modus operandi is Wealth Management, we uniquely use 6 investment platforms to suit the individual requirements of our current and future diverse client bank. Furthermore, we offer a bespoke fund-picking service for the discerning client (a combination of active and passive), even offering ethical investing. We avoid external model portfolios and the additional costs of Discretionary Fund Managers. We take pride in presenting the profession in the highest esteem promoting parliamentary events, and engaging in numerous charitable and interfaith pursuits. Our newly purchased office premises were opened on 25/10/2019 by the then Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP. All qualifications/certificates have been downloaded, please check that all our competitors have done likewise. As a potential client, in all probability, you are contacting a number of advisory firms. Some may have a strict compliance regime, whilst others may be more sales orientated. The provision of holistic financial planning ranks behind only one's general health and correct advice can only be provided if we are aware of the client's total holistic financial picture. We are more than prepared, subject to receipt of a completed confidential financial review, to have a 1-hour non-obligatory meeting (real/virtual), to ascertain mutual suitability. Therefore, we can not respond to requests to telephone calls without receipt of a Confidential Financial Review, this is not only to protect the client, but also the practice. If this is not forthcoming, we must therefore reluctantly assume that we do not offer the service that you require. To many potential clients, the provision of holistic financial planning may be somewhat daunting. Notwithstanding, we are unable in all circumstances to execute or undertake business that our regulator, the FCA, does not permit. Furthermore, we do not accept payment for the "signing off" of FCA-designated "small pots" or any form of execution-only business that requires to be "signed off" by an FCA-approved person or Pension Transfer Specialist. Understandably, we do not offer one-off financial reports without ongoing advice. In order to avoid any further confusion, we only offer advice to UK-domiciled and resident individuals of a minimum of 3 years. Whilst sadly we are not paid from the public purse and therefore understandably cannot provide free advice. Free financial guidance can be obtained from The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) or Citizens Advice. My pro bono activities and giving back to Society are conducted exclusively outside of our business. We do not travel to see potential enquirers, nor would a Solicitor, Chartered Accountant or Barrister. We are more than willing to make ourselves available to meet at our office, outside of office hours, within reason, or by Zoom/Teams. Our initial meeting is without obligation on either side to assess mutual compatibility, this will take place once we are in receipt of a Confidential Financial Review, which is advocated by Which Money as to what a serious client must request from a new adviser. Should the client(s) wish us to provide a written complex resume of our discussions only to extract information to either undertake the work directly or to avail the information to either their existing adviser or another adviser, we reserve the right to charge a fee. Moreover, we do not provide pro-bono advice for enquirers who self manage their own portfolios.
