Due to ill health and I am unlikely to return to work I seeked advise to consolidate my private pensions and investments.

He has helped me organise my financial affairs. I now have one manageable pension and a plan for the release of a future pension and investments. I also receive ongoing support.

Yes, over and beyond expectation. The administration process carried out by Bethany was excellent.

I now have a better understanding of my pensions although performance has been difficult to judge due to current market uncertainty and the short time i have been with Thomas Harper.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My previous adviser started to offer only restricted advice and would only recommended one investment product.

How has Thomas Harper helped you?

Suggested a range of investments for us to choose from. Identified how we could exit an Income Bond in one year instead of dragging it out over three years and provided examples of the tax implications which enabled us to reorganise some other investments to minimise the tax we will pay. Facilitated the speedy withdrawal from one of our investments which enabled us to take advantage of a recent buying opportunity.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

With regard to the Income Bond issue yes. We only revised part of our investment portfolio in November. Initial results were encouraging but, as with many people, the recent market volatility caused a bit of a hiatus. Things appear to have stablised and the investments are starting to get back on track. The buying opportunity referred to above has so far been very successful.

What could they have done better?

Nothing that I can think of.

Previous pensions needed consolidating. I sought advice as it felt like a minefield with lots of contradictory advice online.

Tom was friendly, professional and knew exactly what he was doing with my portfolio. He gave me the upmost confidence from day 1 he knew what he was doing and I'm thrilled with the results i've seen so far.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, my pension is now consolidated and I now realise how poorly it was performing prior to Tom's involvement! I'm pleased to say this is no longer the case. I have also since returned to Tom for additional support with my savings. Despite needing some coaxing into a higher risk portfolio than I am used to, it is paying off and earning more interest this year than in the previous 5 years combined.
