When I decided to regroup my pensions, he dealt with the transfer process by communicating directly with my existing pension providers. Ben contacted me regularly to update me on the transfers and is always available for any enquiry I may have. No. I withdrew my money because of a serious failure with the True Potential web platform. 20k disappeared on bank transfer . Halifax fraud office were involved locating the payment.
What could they have done better?
The True Potential web platform is prone to system errors and needs replaced. Ben, the financial adviser, did a good job except that he lost his cool because of my reaction to the system problem.

He guided me and helped me understand benefits of long term investments in ISA stock and share products. He also helped me understand the risks involved and patiently went through all pros and cons of investing vs. saving.

Since I started investing as per Ben's guidance and inputs, markets have seen a lots of ups and downs including brexit, covid etc. But still i have seen some decent returns on my investments and hopefully in long term (as the market will stabilise more) I should see even better results.

Approaching retirement with a mixture of existing pensions I wanted to explore the advantages of pooling them.
How has Ben Middleton helped you?
He understood my situation and what I was considering doing. He was very up front on all issues. We had a face to face meeting which was useful in terms of my understanding and also reassurance as I was nervous of the sums of money involved and Ben's explanation of the process and its security in terms of protection from fraud were important. Ben has been involved in the no doubt frustratingly detailed transfer process from day one and has taken on the hassle that this generates.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
The transfers are still in process as there is understandably a reassuringly large amount of scrutiny on the part of all parties. Through Ben's advice and that of TPWM I am now confident that my pension funds are in good hands.
What could they have done better?
I'm not sure what he could have done better. Ben is largely subject to the efficiency of those transferring the funds.

I have known and worked with Ben for over 20 years. Following the demise of The Equitable Life pension fund in 2000, I needed to find someone who would renew my faith in the industry and it's ability to meet it's promises.
How has Ben Middleton helped you?
Ben organised the transfer of my remaining pension to a new scheme. His advice helped me understand that whilst my losses were not to be dismissed, they were not fatal and my position was recoverable. I liked Ben's calm and considered demeanor, nothing was too much trouble, he was able to explain things to me in a way that resonated (layman's terms). Ben has gone on to be my trusted source of financial advice ever since. From dealing with family inheritance provisions and planning, through to organising the Auto Enrolment Scheme for my business, Ben has been there helping me make the right decisions.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes, just as Ben promised, my Pension has recovered it's position and I value Ben's advice on all matters finacial.
What could they have done better?
Other than asking The Equitable Life to give me my money back, there is nothing he could have done better. He is an excellent Financial Adviser, not a magician !!
