Rupert Barlow

I started my career in financial planning at a large UK High Street Bank in 2008, having previously worked within the recruitment and property industries. After a long and successful career with the bank, myself and my business partner, Sarah, stepped away from the corporate world and decided to work with Quilter to form Barlow & Bartlett Wealth Management in 2022. We believe that the key to giving good financial advice is not just about have excellent knowledge and experience, but more importantly we centre our approach around truly getting to know all of our clients to enable us to provide advice tailored to each individual’s needs and circumstances. We try to keep things simple and easy for clients to understand. Our service is based upon having long term relationships with clients, and alongside Sarah, we offer a unique relationship led journey. By really listening to what our clients are saying, it means that we’re able to quickly understand what is important to them and plan for this over weeks, months and often years. We don’t believe that financial planning is something that can be rushed and we always maintain a relationship with clients following any work that we do. Many of our clients share the same concerns, often around becoming more tax efficient, planning for their retirements or leaving a legacy to their loved ones. We also spend a lot of time discussing ways of preserving and protecting the wealth that our clients have worked so hard for over the years. I love work and helping clients but when I do get some spare time, I will usually be spending it with my wife, daughters and granddaughters, not forgetting my dog Maisie! Myself and my business partner are also passionate about helping young people to get the best possible support to kick start their careers and are involved with our local college and Bath based charity to share our knowledge and expertise around running a business, managing finances and careers in financial services.
