What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I have been with Darren for many, many years, even before he started here.

How has Darren Curry helped you?

He handles, and advises on, all my financial requirements.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Nobody is ever satisfied with their finances, but, overall, I cannot fault Darren. If I had seen the outcome I was hoping for, I would be relaxing on my own yacht, somewhere on the Caribbean, drinking funny coloured cocktails.

What could they have done better?

I don't know. How could I know? That is Darren's job. He seems to do it very well. I have no complaints.

Consolidation of various pensions and then planning on making my pensions fit my retirement.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Darren was my financial advisor when he was with The First Trust Bank, (AIB). When they parted company, I opted to leave the bank's financial advice service and enrol with Darren as a 'new' client. He was not allowed to take clients with him but, I insisted. It was my decision, not his.

How has Darren Curry helped you?

Darren has always been there when I had a question. He has never missed an appointment. He has advised me of different options and let me choose, if and when I chose to. Mostly, I go with his advice as it has never let me down.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Nobody sees the outcome they are looking for. We all expect to be multi-millionaires within the first year. The economic climate has been rough for everybody, (except for the very high rollers, maybe), we mustn't shoot the messenger. I think we're doing well to stay ahead of the game.

What could they have done better?

I have no idea. I trust Darren to do his utmost in looking after my funds. So far, I haven't been wrong.

Darren has been a terrific source of advice, guidance and professionalism over the past 6 years, and his attention to detail and service is exemplary.

To date, yes. Plenty of 'ups' on the journey so far, with a small scattering of 'downs' but due to the vagaries of the financial markets globally, particularly in the last 3 months.

I wanted a good return on capitol I had accumulated over my working life. I had known Darren from his time with AIB and was impressed by his sound advice and the returns I was getting on my investments. I had no concerns about investing via Navigate and have been very pleased with the results.

No, since I expected to be a multimillionaire by now, but, yes, of course, otherwise i would be looking elsewhere now, wouldn't I?

I don't know. mostly the financial world baffles me. I have put my trust in Darren for many, many years now, and he has never let me down, nor given me cause for concern.

Carried out a complete overview of all my savings, investments and pensions leading to advice on entering retirement and providing an on going plan as to how I finance my retirement

In theory, yes. In practice, the recent downturn has reduced my portfolio value so time will tell if the original advice comes to fruition

What could they have done better?

No…the original advise and plan were good. Navigate could not have foreseen the market downturn and they were extremely quick to make changes in my portfolio in an attempt to reduce damage caused by the present financial environment
