What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
Heading slowly towards retirement and with some assets to invest for a reasonable longer term return

He fully appreciated my circumstances and what level of risk I was happy to accept, and advised accordingly. To date investments have returned significantly more than even the best bank accounts might have done.
