As a moderate/larger business owner and beginning to reach retirement age, and with a wife, family and grandchildren I felt that I needed to speak to someone who was an expert in financial advice and care and who was totally trustworthy. I had known Michael for a long number of years and knew he was someone who was utterly to be relied upon. It was I who made the first approach to Michael and asked for his advice and guidance across a range of issues and for the various members of my family. It has been a move I have not regretted

How has Michael Hamill helped you?

Apart from general financial advice within my own timing and circumstances of life, Michael has provided peace of mind across a number of fields. Whether it was ISAs or Junior ISAs, (not always straightforward) or pension planning and investment across the various members of my family Michael was clear and waffle-free. Fighting my case he saved me many thousands on a pension transfer from a company which had an unreasonable penalty clause in the event of a pension transfer.

Given the torrid time in the world and financial markets I have been happy with the outcome of my investments. Michael monitors where our pensions are placed to gain maximum return at the risk level that suits us.

While not being an expert in this financial field, I know of no area of service, advice or attitude where Michael could have done things better

MIchael has been absolutely fantastic over the last few years. He knows me, knows my values and what it is I want financially. Yes. We always left our meetings feeling confident he was totally committed to getting us the best outcome but being fully aware that unforeseen things can happen. Overall very positive outcome which leaves us confident and reduces stress regarding the future.

My wife and I both had lump sums to invest upon our retirement. Later on we were lucky enough to inherit some money.

Michael has offered us beneficial advice and our investments have given us a good return even through challenging times.

Yes. We are moderate risk takers and our investments have most certainly performed better than if they were with a bank or BS.

I separated from my husband, who would have taken care of all the finances and I found myself very overwhelmed re how to handle it all and what was best for me.

Michael has consistently been lovely to work with. He is warm and personable and explains things in such a way which made me feel reassured and like I was in safe hands. I trusted him and his advice.

Yes, Michael has kept me fully informed in all my investments and consults me re any changes of anything I should know about. Everything Michael has done on my behalf has seemed like the right move for me and produced good outcomes. My main desired outcome was peace of mind that my investments were in safe hands and being taken care of and Michael has given me that peace of mind.

What could they have done better?

Nothing at all. I worried a bit when things started to go more on-line as this isn't my strength and I don't like it when the human relationship takes a step back from services, but when I feel I need some detail regarding my finances, i just email in directly and always get a prompt and personal response which is all I could ask for.

I had a Prudential pension for forty years and was unhappy with the benefits they were offering me. As not conversing face-to-face with anyone I was confused as to the proper steps to take when my pension matured.

Michael was recommended to me by a retiring financial advisor with whom I had worked with for over 20 years and trusted completely.

How has Michael Hamill helped you?

Michael has kept me updated on the progress of my pension investments and advised on a balance of low and medium risk units in my portfolio. As market conditions varied Michael made recommendations on changes to my portfolio as I approached pension age to protect the gains that I have made with his help over the years. He also delivers his advice in plain English wherever possible. He also conducts himself in a most courteous manner.
