What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Originally I sought help because I suddenly found myself the sole wage earner and needed advice on income protection. It was understandable then that I went to Paul when circumstances changed and we had money for saving, investment and pension planning.

How has Paul McCoubrey helped you?

After my first enquiry Paul sorted income protection for me at very low cost and was incredibly helpful and reassuring at a difficult time. When our circumstances changed and we had money to invest Paul was our first port of call and has been excellent. He helped us navigate the change to having a new approach to our budgets, pension planning and secure investment. What I have found most helpful on a personal level though is the regular reminder that finance is about what you want to do with it while you've alive and able to - it's a means rather than an end.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

So far, yes. Purely on the maths, the investments have been secure with growth better than we'd have managed on our own. But the main benefit for us is peace of mind, that we trust that Paul understands what we want and we don't have to worry about it. We have the savings we need to draw on for occasional projects and the security that we're managing money now for when we don't want to work any more.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Paul has always been so communicative and responsive. We enjoy our meetings every six months and it's always a baseline where we can reset, re-evaluate and check in with our plans.

We received a lump sum when my husband retired.

How has Paul McCoubrey helped you?

We initially contacted Paul to seek advice on investing a lump sum. During the process Paul encouraged us to consider what was important to us. We completed a comprehensive spending questionnaire covering everything from day to day spending, holidays, inheritance and contributing towards weddings etc. These were topics we knew needed addressed but had just never gotten round to it. Paul guided us through the process with ease. He is very knowledgeable and the software used enabled us to see what our projected financial needs were in the next 10 to 20 years. Things became so much clearer and it was all discussed in a very relaxed environment.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Not yet but we knew we were investing in a long term project. We also know we can check in with April at any time to see how the investments are going.

Nothing. Very efficient in every aspect.

I reached out to Paul at Navigate when I was looking to make my first step on to the property market.

How has Paul McCoubrey helped you?

Paul was instrumental in helping me get on to the property market. He talked me through each step of the process and provided excellent advise on what I needed to do to make sure I was successful in my mortgage application. Paul also talked me through my various options on insurance and protection. This isn’t always the easiest thing to talk to people about but Paul put myself and my wife’s mind at rest and talked through the reasons and benefits for our family. Paul secured excellent cover and product value to ensure we were adequately protected should the unthinkable occur.

My family I have been in our house for over 8 years and honestly couldn’t thank Paul enough for helping us every step of the way.

Yes until the war between Russia and Ukraine the end of Covid Pandemic. Which was totally out of Pauls control. I still have every confidence in Paul and his team
