I was offered a consultation with Platinum Financial Planning following my attendance at a workshop to plan for my retirement. Johanna contacted me and we arranged a meeting via Teams. Johanna was very friendly and welcoming and I felt instantly at ease discussing my retirement options. She was patient and really took the time to explain anything I didn't fully understand about my financial position. Before our meeting I was very nervous about my retirement since I am not a particularly fiscally conscious person, but afterwards I have been very chilled and relaxed, knowing that I now have the facts about my positive retirement benefits. I have been recommending both Johanna and the company to my colleagues since I had my consultation - irrespective of how close they are to retirement. Very professional approach to what can often be a worrying time for folk. Johanna has set my mind at ease.

Johanna spoke in clear lay man's terms, a financial language that is unknown to me. She was friendly and knowledgeable and in these circumstances, I usually feel like an idiot. I didn't feel this way with her and I came away enlightened .

Hopefully, but external influences are impacting on growth of investments in general.

As per previous question, Johanna gave guidance on the current markets in line with my investments and, my profile. With this in mind I don't think she could have done any better than she did.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to review my pensions accumulated from previous jobs and set up a new private pension as I am self-employed. I also wanted to set up savings for my children to help with future university costs or buying their first home.

Johanna delivered in exactly the way she said she would and I am extremely happy with her advice and quick response throughout the process; as well as her ongoing support if I needed to make adjustments to my pension or savings.

When getting a mortgage and then life insurance, house insurance and income protection.

How has Johanna Rooney helped you?

We first went to johanna for mortgage advice she looked at our finances and gave us professional advice on getting our mortgage, she helped us look at what our repayments would look like in different circumstances and what was best for us. Getting a mortgage is a very daunting experience but Johanna put us at ease and spent a lot of time with us discussing all our options and answering any questions we had. Johanna also sourced our life insurance, home insurance and income protection. She ensured we were aware & understood the different policies, what they included and what was best for us. Her knowledge and expertise was able to guide us to making the best decision for our personal situation. It gave us peace of mind knowing that we had insurances in place & johanna made it very easy & stress free. Our experience with johanna has been fantastic she offers a personalised service and really goes the extra mile for her clients.

Yes we are now a year into our mortgage and have security with the insurance policies we have taken.

My mortgage was up for renewal so I contacted Johanna for advise.

How has Johanna Rooney helped you?

Johanna provided excellent advice considering the current clinic regarding mortgages. She completed extensive searches and provided me with multiple options in regards to my mortgage renewal.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, considering the current climate in regards to the hike in mortgage interest rates I am extremely satisfied with the service she provided.

I first reached out to Johanna for help and advice with insurance and income protection. I also wanted some clarity on what becoming a home owner and getting a mortgage would entail.

How has Johanna Rooney helped you?

Johanna is very professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She spoke to me on my level and ensured I understood everything, especially the finer details and T&Cs. She gave me numerous options and advised on what was best for my situation. She was very helpful and nothing was ever too much to ask of her and there was no such thing as a silly question.

Yes, I was able to get insurance and income protection and so did my Partner. Johanna also gave us advice on savings and mortgages and helped us put a plan in place to become new home owners.
