At Yellowtail, we provide bespoke financial planning and wealth management services for individuals and couples who are either retired or expect to retire in the next five to ten years, typically having investable assets of £1m or more. We help clients discover and articulate their goals and aspirations, so that they can have a clearer idea about what they want their money to do for them. This enables us to create financial strategies that are aligned to their values. Because we place our clients’ values at the heart of our planning work, we work to remove the complexity that other parts of the financial services industry seem to thrive on. In fact Yellowtail, a chartered Financial Planning firm, was set up to provide the advice and service that we felt was lacking in our industry, based upon the belief that financial advice isn’t only about money, it’s about what your money can do for you. Away from the office my time is largely spent with my wife and three young children. Weekends are typically spent ferrying my eldest two from one class activity to another, with the occasional few hours on the golf course, when I can, perfecting my swing. During School holidays we try and visit museums and landmarks and are fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time in Edinburgh, where my wife is from. As one of my great passions is food, I get great pleasure in cooking different cuisines for family and friends.
