What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was in the process of retiring and had a number of pensions that needed to be consolidated. In addition we had a small property portfolio which we hoped would supplement our pensions. As a consequence we needed the help of an IFA.

Chris visited us and spent a long time finding out our needs and objectives. Chris guided us through many options until we arrived at a solution. The solution was to invest in a pension umbrella investment fund administered by Chris. In addition Chris helped us to expand our Buy to Let portfolio by seeking out the best mortgage for a particular property and circumstances. Chris has sort out some five mortgages in the last 12 months for us and family members. As a consequence, our property portfolio has approximately trebled in the last 18 months, the value of our investments have increased by some 60% and we have a close friend who we can call upon for any circumstance because if Chris doesn't know the answer he will have an expert at his fingertips to whom we can be referred in confidence and confidentiality.

Chris has helped us to more than exceed the outcome we were hoping for. We now need to plan for the future and look at making our Wills and inheritance planning.

What could they have done better?

Chris is a very busy person and whilst he might not be able to respond immediately, he responds to phone calls and emails within hours.

Chris was amazing. From the very moment I contacted him on a recommendation from a friend he was extremely helpful, professional and engaging. He helped us understand the mortgage world and coached us on where to begin with our search for our first home. He took the stress away from the financial side by taking all our details and liaising with the banks for us, he then got back to us with different offers and very clearly explained the pros and cons of each one. Chris was so patient with us and explained things repeatedly if we didn't understand any financial terms. He was really consistent and would call us when he said he would. We could also text or email him at any time and his reply came very quickly.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Extremely happy with Chris and what he did for us as now we are home owners. Without him we would still be caught up in the renting game. He got us a really great deal on our mortgage so we couldn't be happier.

Absolutely nothing he went above and beyond with helping us so there is nothing I could say to improve her experience.. Chris even gave us advise on the legal aspect of buying a property this was invaluable when we got in contact with our solicitor. We look forward to working with him again in the future.
