My partner and I were both nearing retirement and had various financial queries that we wanted answers for and advice on. For example how could/should we amalgamate several work/private pensions; did we have enough savings to enable us to live the way we wanted to in retirement; and how best to manage our personal savings.

George has helped us to make considered decisions with regard to our pensions and savings.. We have met him face-to-face, via Zoom meetings and via phone chats and email messages. He is always quick to respond to calls and questions and has managed the process of transferring personal pensions thus making it more streamlined for us to receive payments.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was considering retiring in 2-3 years and whilst I would consider myself quite finance savvy I wanted to review my plans with an advisor because it is a huge step to make and a costly one if you get it wrong.

How has George Agan helped you?

He provided sound advice and guidance and I envisage this will continue for many years. He explains things really well and is very approachable if I have any questions or need clarity on anything. The upshot is that after considering retirement in 2-3 years, working with George and with the added confidence and understanding I decided to “go for it”. I don’t think I would have been able to make that step without George’s advice and modelling. It’s worked out very well.

Absolutely, in fact I was able to pull forward my retirement after working through the options with George. I had the confidence that I was able to achieve my goals with sound modelling and advice provided by George.

Please provide a brief comment about your experience with George

I had an introductory meeting with George. He was a good listener and gave me great advice on the questions that I had regarding pension contributions. He was also honest regarding his fees and how taking into consideration my current pension pot it would not be in my best interest to get a full pension review by his firm. Instead, he provided me other alternatives where I could get the information I'm looking for. Overall, our meeting was great and George made a very good impression on me.

I have recently been doing a lot of research into pensions, ISA, and all things wealth. One of the most valuable resources in doing so were George’s videos on YouTube I decided to run my plan through with a professional, so reached out to George George really dug into the details and took time to know me, my situation, and my plan for the future George gave me his honest assessment, that in good conscience he wouldn’t be able to take me on as a client as my plan was sound. This is a true display of George’s integrity and character. In my opinion it shows George to be extremely trustworthy and honest, which is a rare trait these days Even after this George was still happy to help some other questions I have regards my parents situation I would highly recommend George to anyone looking for an extremely knowledgeable financial advisor, knowing that he will do what is right and will not try and oversell you pointless products, which most advisors are known for
