Mostly yes. I had expected my pension equity investments to perform better, similar to an in dependent alternative investment that I hold but time will tell over the longer term and may prove my expectations wrong.

What could they have done better?

I think that it is too early to say if I have made the appropriate choices. I do have some regrets placing some of my pension funds into an annuity and think, in retrospect’s, over the long term may have benefited more so by investing elsewhere but obviously it was my decision at the time.
