What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

James initially helped my Mum with her financial planning, primarily helping her to consolidate her assets and manage her finances in order to provide her with enough money to live on in her retirement.

James was a huge help to my Mum, helping her to navigate her finances and make sense of the options available to her. He was always attentive, empathetic, and very willing to provide advice whenever it was sought. After my Mum passed away last year, James was very supportive to my Sister and I and helped us to understand our Mum's finances. We feel that we have learnt so much from him and his advice really has been indispensable. Through tricky times, James was on hand to guide us through our decisions. We always felt that he had our best interests at heart and that he really knew what he was talking about. And, if he ever felt that something was outside of his wheelhouse, he always knew who to put us in touch with. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Absolutely. I believe James really did a great job for my family and me.

Previous adviser was amalgamated with St James' Place. I didn't appreciate the restrictions of the new arrangement, the performance of SJP and the cost of the poor performance!

He has clarified some difficult pension fund issues surrounding fund caps and taxation and guided me through income planning and spending for the future.

Difficult to tell in these difficult economic times but I can see more clearly how to get where I want to go.
