Jonathan took the time to understand our needs and challenged our initial thinking appropriately. He helped us to think through the various issues we faced on retirement and to make appropriate decisions about investment strategy and pension crystallisation or not.

It is early days in terms of financial performance but all the agreed actions have been taken and so the strategy is in place which gives us the peace of mind we were looking for.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

To simplify our current savings, investments and personal pensions under one provider if possible.

How has Jonathan Parish helped you?

Immediately there was a relaxation from both my wife and I. He listened to our objectives and documented our savings, investments and personal pensions. A strategy was quickly arrived at and a pathway documented. Jargon was kept to a minimum and we were very relaxed after the first session. Also administration for moving savings accounts , investments and pensions were handled by Jonathan through HL.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We adopted a medium risk strategy over a medium to long term and so far it is meeting those objectives. We have not been disappointed with the investment returns so far. Also having almost all investments under one provider has given great peace of mind to my wife.

What could they have done better?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had previously transferred my Final Salary pension to a SIPP and Jonathan reviewed that process and provided investment advice.

Jonathan quickly understood my needs/goals and setup up my SIPP investments. He was easy to talk to and his advice was very helpful.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My Hargreaves SIPP pension is well suited to my needs and I have found the Hargreaves investment system easy to understand as it provides the information I require to continue self management of the SIPP.

What could they have done better?

Jonathan was easy to talk to, quickly understood my requirements and setup the SIPP portfolio for me. I am now retired so I enjoy the self management of the portfolio and although I have maintained the structure of the portfolio I am able to review the investments and make any changes necessary. I would happily use Jonathan's services again in the future if required.
