What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My longstanding financial adviser had, over recent years, lost some of the more personal touches I had previously valued. I wasn't unhappy with the performance of my investments and not actively looking to change adviser, partly because I was too busy to think about this. However, I met Jo through our work as school Governors, and have been impressed with her.

How has Joanne Baker helped you?

Jo has given me the opportunity to take a fresh look at my finances, helping me to feel organised, keeping things simple and more in control - perfect for a busy life. I have been really impressed with the personal approach and how efficient Jo is. I am confident she has my back!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It is too early to assess if the performance of investments will meet expectations but moving adviser wasn't really about this. Of course I want the performance to at least match what it was previously, but I am confident it will. A positive outcome for me was to achieving a more personal approach and working with someone who had a genuine interest in me and my families future.

Since my last review, Jo has continued to support me with my retirement planning and has encouraged me to keep my master plan in mind when making financial decisions. This allows me to make informed decisions and to make progress more quickly than i would have otherwise.

Previous adviser retired and Jo took on his business. Quickly noted that current plan not working and advised a much better one

Explained the pension schemes very well and answered all my questions, no matter how silly they seemed

Yes, Jo has changed my pension onto a far better plan than my previous one
