Hi, I’m Mooka (pronounced like the coffee, ‘Mocha’). My focus is on bridging the gap between personal finance and personal development to help others declutter their finances and budget with purpose. My Story Raised in the Zambian diaspora, I’ve been blessed with parents who have strong ethics and taught me the value of maximising every penny. My enthusiasm for personal finance didn’t start until I studied my BSc and MSc in Actuarial Science, where I began diving deeper into money-saving strategies and budgeting styles as a hobby. I entered the workforce with a determination to hit my goals of paying off debt and saving for buying my first home as quickly as possible, but my hustle became my life. My wake-up call was a conversation with a family member that made me realise that I needed a mindset shift, I needed balance. My mission is to help you avoid my mistakes so that you can achieve financial freedom without neglecting your relationships, mental health, and the things that matter most to you. I serve with this in mind with the hope that you can look back on your journey and think “That was all worth it!” When I’m not coaching, I’m either singing, composing music or playing some form of sport. I also love exploring other cultures and travelling to visit friends and family – in most cases, I find a way to do both at the same time!
