I contacted Darren to discuss some options for a few private pensions I am looking to combine and invest. Darren was really easy to talk to and listened to my thoughts and at no time did I feel the slightest bit pressured into making any decisions. Although I'm still looking through my various options, I would definitely recommend speaking to Darren for any investment advice you need.

Darren comes across as a very knowledgeable guy, not at all trying to push you in a sales type of environment. He took time to listen to what I wanted and then provide a really well considered proposal. I work in the financial industry and trusted what I was told and recommend after my own due diligence. When looking at large Pension investments this was a berth of fresh air and would highly recommend Darren's services.

Like many, I found myself in a situation with lots of small pots of money, I wanted to consolidate, but What ? How? What would it cost? and was it worth it? Enter Darren who took the time to go go through my finances with me in a way that made me feel confident, then came up with a plan and options that helped me see the wood for the trees.
How has Darren Parker helped you?
Always been at the end of the phone to help guide me when reaching all those little milestones that lead towards retirement. Sometimes to offer help and guidance, sometimes just to help me understand the jargon and implications.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes, but obviously Covid and Lock Down with the accompanying financial turn down there has seen an unexpected impact. Some things are just beyond anyone's control.
What could they have done better?
Perhaps slightly quicker to advise on changes to portfolio may have made a marginal impact.

Yes and no, the stocks and shares ISA’s have been pretty volatile over the last couple of years due to the global economy, but have started improving now. In it for the long term, should have some good gains.

Darren has been exceptional, he looked at our pensions from our previous employers to see if it was best to amalgamate them together or to leave them as they are at present with annual reviews. Not only have we done pensions with Darren we have also done savings for the future. Darren has looked at how the forecast predicted for the future and how much we could comfortably live on. We have a online portal than we can regularly look at to watch our investments.

Darren has been excellent advising us to do a savings pot as well as a pension forecast plan.
What could they have done better?

Darren helped us in the transfer of my fathers pension drawdown to my mothers name following running into difficulties with the Prudential. we are very grateful for his help and support, without it I believe we would still have been struggling with the Prudential

Darren was recommended to us by a neighbour. He has visited on a number of occasions taking the whole process at our pace. Everything has been explained in terms that even I could understand. He is patient and committed to ensuring we did not feel under any pressure. Darren has a good sense of humour yet remains professional at all times. We have recently invested with Celestial Wealth and despite the current financial situation have seen an increase in our investment. We look forward to the economy recovering and should see our investment grow further in time.

Visited at home spent a lot of time getting to know me and my family our circumstances our needs and our future plans kept in touch during the period of time preparing the report. On presenting the report I received both electronic and paper reports unfortunately due to the coronavirus outbreak we could only have telephone meetings as my family was shielding but these meetings were very acceptable and a plan going forward was reached

Pleasantly surprised by how the outcome could benefit me immediately as well as in the future providing me with a very flexible stream of income making me better off than I currently am and even allowing me to think about the possibility of finishing work sooner than I anticipated. Possibly

I was happy with the process and can't really find fault as the experience was much improved from my previous financial adviser very

My mum had left her job and had a pension with the company she had worked for of over 20 years. The options they were offering mum wouldn’t have given her any financial benefit, as who can retire on £200 a month? I searched for approved financial advisors and was so lucky to find Darren. From the very first call he was fantastic, reassuring and put our minds at ease.

Darren who looked after us throughout the transfer of my mums pension was absolutely amazing. Darren has helped us out so much and I’m so glad that I found his details on the CAB page. Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Darren has enabled my mum to retire at 60 and have a more than decent monthly income. She would have had to have found another job if it weren’t for Darren sorting out the measly pension that mum was originally being offered. She is now enjoying retirement early and is financially independent and secure.
What could they have done better?
There isn’t one thing that Darren could have done better. He was so flexible and worked around my hectic life. He explained everything in layman’s terms, went through things step by step, checked our understanding and has given us access to an online account where we can sign in and see everything for ourselves which is brilliant.

Darren illustrated a number of scenarios that I had not previously considered as options applicable to my circumstances. Ultimately Darren helped secure a retirement on beneficial terms versus those that had been considered prior to his involvement. Darren visited us on a number occasions presented independent advice backed by thorough analysis and was open, honest and easy to deal with.

Yes, as per response above and we felt much better informed and confident that we made the best decisions in respect of our particular circumstances
What could they have done better?
Not strictly issues that Darren could affect but dealing with certain occupational pension scheme administrators feels unnecessarily bureaucratic and slow. Possibly some industry standardisation could ease some of the frustrations encountered

Darren provided impartial and professional expertise in a very friendly and cheerful manner.

In the end we didn’t go with Darren’s plan. This was due to the seconders who Darren entrusted to review my finances decided that it wasn’t viable. Darren did advise that this can sometimes happen and it’s all part of the security offered by Darren’s company. In the end everything has turned out very well.
What could they have done better?
I don’t really think Darren could have done anymore. He kept me up to date with the process and also chased up my company when it appeared they might have been slow in providing the relevant information.

My husband and myself are looking for the future for retirement and family needs, we do not want to have to work past retirement age and felt that it is the right time to get all our finances in order now so we have plenty of time to have a good plan brought together and hopefully have no worries when we decide to retire.

Darren initially asked us what our goal was and what we were looking to achieve; I think my husband and myself were realistic with our intentions. Darren looked at the bigger picture and advised us what we would need to do to achieve our goals. He looked at our private pensions and previous work pensions as well to suggest a better pension provider.

The outcome we were looking for has exceeded our expectations and hope to continue to work alongside Darren for future investment needs.

There wasn't anything that Darren could have done better, he listened to our needs and concerns.
