I was coming up to retirement and quite anxious about consolidating the funds in 3 different pension pots and ensuring I had sufficient income in retirement because the value of my pension pots seemed to be declining.

He helped me move my pension savings into less risky funds and also advised me to make additional pension contributions to benefit from tax advantages. He took time to understand my retirement goals and financial priorities and sourced an excellent annuity for me as well as advising on investments going forward.

Recent inheritance that included a Trust. Review of existing pensions and investments. I didn't have a financial advisor before Adrian and had no recommendations to go on. I chose Adrian after comparing the profiles of several IFAs in the area. I was impressed that Adrian's whole career had been in finance and that he held advanced qualifications including a diploma in Trusts. I also liked what I read about Sylvan and that there was no ambiguity in their stated fees.

I have advisers for about 30 years, my previous advisers were taken over and their way of operating changed in a way that I did not like, I therefore was looking for an alternative. Adrian was recommended to me by a relative.

It did not feel our interests were important to their business. Adrian contacted me very promptly after my initial enquiry. We had a very useful phone conversation and a subsequent fact finding meeting (free).
