We are at a stage in life that it made sense to moving to an advisor from manging our own investments.

It is too early to tell but I'm confident that the plans have been effectively put in place.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Looking ahead to retirement in a very few years I realised I did not understand how best to manage my five pensions and varied multiple investments made over the years. I contemplated retirement with dread.

How has Ed Painter helped you?

Ed has offered understanding, calm, reassurance and immense patience. He has explained my position and options clearly, answered all my questions and given me time to come to decisions with no pressure at any stage. He has offered to include my son in discussions whenever I wish to and been very flexible to accommodate this.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I feel more confident to retire within the next two years. I was previously dreading the thought and would have kept on working to put off facing the complexity of organising it.

What could they have done better?

Ed could not have done anything better. I could not be persuaded to use another adviser.

Following retiring from work, I needed advice to structure pensions and savings.

Ed has listened to the financial status of both myself and my wife and provided advice on how to and where to position finances considering our current position in life and looking to the future.

Ed patiently listened to my partner and I's financial context and gave us very honest advice (which was actually to do less than we'd imagined), meaning I'd really trust Ed in the future with any financial advice we're seeking. He was very generous with his time, and patiently helped me understand what to do around a financial decision I'm making.
