What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Due to retire from the NHS in March. I have an NHS and private pensions, was soooh confused what to do for future planning

How has Ashley Hewitt helped you?

Changed Pension Provider and Investments have done really well and has always Annually reviewed the the progress and informed myself if any changes needed to improve the pension. Always been there to answer any questions or things I was not sure about.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Absolutely, especially as the last 4 years when corvid and also the Invasion of Russia hit stocks and share prices went down somehow he managed to keep my pension shares at a good level of investment which as now reflected in my annuities pension just being set up after have been on Drawdown for a number of years.

What could they have done better?

Cannot fault Ashely he is so professional and friendly Hard to find how he could Improve.

In previous years yes, but since Covid we have been a bit disappointed about the decrease of our investment but we know that this is because of the pandemic and not down to Ashley.

I had a recent annual review with Ashley to look at a number of savings products and two small pensions I have in place with a well-known national pension provider. I needed some advice from Ashley in view of the current Economic crisis and how some poor performing markets have affected the products I have in my investment portfolio. Ashley was able to give me advice and reassurance about the pension products and the savings and investments I have with other providers. His advice was clear and concise and it was very clear to me that he had done his research prior to our meeting. He even took a call from America that morning about one of my investments ,to get the most up to date information which he could then feed on to me. I was extremely satisfied and impressed with the information and advice I received from Ashley and would have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family and to anyone needing financial advice.

Long term planning. Making the most of my existing finances with a view to altering them to potentially provide earlier/more applicable draw down. To check that the plans I have in place are the best I can hope for.

With all of the above. Everytime I meet with Ashley, he explains everything in an understandable and honest manner. I have approached Ashley at different times to ask questions and gain extra advice and he is always thorough and deeply helpful, even with the 'silly' questions. It always feels like a collaboration with Ashley.

As well as can be hoped in the current financial upheaval. Ashley is very honest about the market forces.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

In January 2020, at the age of 55, I was ill health retired and very quickly found myself swamped by the various options open to me with regard to buying a pension product.

How has Ashley Hewitt helped you?

I had a number of pension pots from 4 different employers over the years and Ashley's expertise was absolutely invaluable to me. Through his experience and knowledge of pension products, Ashley was able to find me a product which delivered an extremely comfortable pension, which has given me the financial security I was seeking for the time I have left. This security is extremely important to me, which was a point Ashley understood and was sympathetic towards. Ashley is extremely professional and knowledgeable but also has a personal side and was very supportive during all my meetings with him. He also advised me on a number of financial investments and I have regular annual reviews with him to ensure that my investments are working well for me.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The pension product Ashley found for me delivered an annual income more than 3 times greater than any of the traditional products I had access to. Without Ashley's help, I know I would not have been as financially secure as I am now. All the investment products Ashely recommended are delivering the projected profits and I am very happy with how they are progressing.

What could they have done better?

I cannot think of one thing Ashley could have improved on. I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking to invest or looking to buy a pension product.

The regular cash payments from the immediate care annuity that Ashley arranged for my father improved his quality of life enormously during his final years of life as I was able to pay for external care for him. Ashley has always been approachable, friendly and professional in his financial dealings. He assessed my attitude to investment risk and advised me on the correct level of investment in the best financial product on the market to meet my needs. The further cash funds I invested on his excellent advice covered the initial financial outlay for the annuity in a timely manner. I have always paid for IFA advice by commission and Ashley's charges are transparent and very good value for money. I highly recommend Ashley as an IFA provider of financial advice regarding immediate care annuities.

Ashley has recently helped me to efficiently draw out monies without paying income tax from an Investment Savings Bond that he helped me to set up some time ago. He continues to review my portfolio every 6 months and still advises on making appropriate changes to optimize its performance as required. I still receive a 6 monthly written report via e-mail on my investments performance, and which is clear and easy to understand.

did a lot of research into the current whereabouts of my pensions and the value of them. then gave advice of what to do with them

there is nothing he could of done better. booked appointments were met with sometimes a lot of time being involved but it was all given in a polite courteous manner.

Ashley helped me with advice on investing a lump sum of money from my work pension.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Very pleased the lump sum of money is invested safely with a nice return.

What could they have done better?

Ashley assessed my personal circumstances and taking into account my wishes and needs tailored a plan to invest my money which I felt safe and confident with. He explained the types of investments and risks, ensuring I understood and felt comfortable with plans. He encouraged me to contact him anytime if I’d had any concerns or change of circumstances and came to see me for a yearly review. Ashley is very professional and knowledgeable. This is the first time I have needed the services of a financial advisor and I cannot see how Ashley could have done better, I am very pleased with his advice and the work he has done and his ongoing reviews.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Generally my age, I am approximately 6 years away from hopefully retiring and felt that I needed advice at this very important time in my life.

How has Ashley Hewitt helped you?

Along with many others I am not particularly savvy when it comes to Pensions and was worried that I could not afford to just let my pensions "drift", but Ashley explained everything in plain English and made everything much easier to understand.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes and more. He gave me what I thought was very good advice on my pensions particularly on one which had basically become stagnant, I acted on his and this has already show benefits.

What could they have done better?

I can't really fault Ashley Hewitt and so I am unable to offer him any constructive suggestions. I have alway found him very pleasant, always accommodating, willing to meet me even in my lunch break from work in order to get my situations sorted. Would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Ashley was very polite and thorough with the work I was asking. He explained things in a very understanding way. Thank you I did not go to vouchedfor - I rang pensionwise and they advised I did not have sufficient pension for them to do the work and offered me their other company for the less well off people. Vouchedfor contacted me and offered me Ashley's details I have not been on their website. The service I have received has been efficient and I have felt like a valued customer

I had a brief conversation over the phone where we discussed my pension requirements and Ashley appeared knowledgeable. I was promised a summary of my current situation and a recommendation of other products that may be of interest. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks I've yet to receive anything. Due to the call taking place during the day I was in a large open plan office so was unable to discuss everything so the recommendations maybe have been something that I followed up especially with pension changes in April. The summary would also include breakdown of charges so these were not discussed.

Starting a family, looking for a house and looking to the future and needing guidance and advice as to where we begin.

How has Ashley Hewitt helped you?

Ashley was approachable, kind and very knowledgeable, he took our financial and family life into account when advising us on the options available. His advice on the insurances we needed was professional without being overbearing and he has really looked after us. I would not hesitate to call on his services in the future.

The payments we set up were basic and have fitted into our monthly payments seamlessly, we were made aware of the details of the cover and were happy to proceed and benefit from the peace of mind Ashley gave us with the service provided.
