Fotis has provided a welcome perspective during the past 2 years (2022-2024) and his advice has proved admirable so far. Our inheritance and pension transfers are now secure and well-invested. Many years ago it became apparent that being self-employed I didn’t have a private pension , so I started looking for a pension adviser. Fotis is now much more than that to me. It has taken most of this year (2022) to arrange the investments and complete pension transfers (which always take time), so it is early days - and turbulent times - to comment on outcomes. However, I feel greatly reassured that I have now invested the funds much better than I did on my own, that they are more secure for the longer term and that sharing my concerns has taken a weight off my mind. Early days, but a much better position already.

I went into this customer - adviser relationship with eyes wide open, having spoken to several other advisers in previous years, and I was very impressed with the service Fotis provided. He listens, he asks perceptive questions where he needs more detail, and he takes a whole of market view on the options and opportunities available. Not sure he could have done much better!

Fotis initially helped us to better articulate our life goals and ambitions - in essence what is important to us. This sounds obvious but talking through with an expert really helped us to be clear in our own minds what we wanted to aim for and the implications of that in monetary terms. After our initial interactions we made the decision for Fotis to invest and manage the majority of the funds. This was low pressure on Fotis's part and we felt confident that Fotis had really taken time to understand our circumstances and therefore could use this alongside more formal tools to inform an investment strategy. Simply having our financial plan written down has been a great confidence booster. Yes things change, but we're able to tie it back to the plan or adjust the plan rather than just feel buffeted by events. Dealing with Fotis and his team has been a very smooth experience and I can't think of any area where an improvement would be needed.

Approaching retirement age with a number of different pension schemes I needed Fotis' help to ensure I achieve a suitable income.

Fotis' knowledge, expertise and attention to detail not only forecast a good return from not a huge pot but that attention to detail ensured that specific terms were not lost or greatly reduced from one of those pensions that had specific terms.

As I am still working the pensions have been consolidated where necessary and waiting for retirement decision day. However, the initial forecasts were encouraging but clearly Covid will have a short term effect on those forecasts. But Fotis' continue review and updates will no doubt ensure that we achieve the best of a bad global situation.

What could they have done better?

Not sure there was anything Fotis could have done better. From day one both my wife and I felt comfortable in his presence making us both welcome and not making the process a daunting one.
