What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had a great independent financial adviser that we liked very much. But we just felt that they had moved to a higher strata client base than us and some recent advice seemed a bit risky for us. And the investment fees were quite high for this market.

She has given me confidence in my semi-retirement plan, explained all options very clearly and without any pressure whatsoever. I decided to consolidate two pensions and also make regular contributions into the pot, now that our mortgage is paid off.
