My name is Andrew, and I am the founder of Brady Financial Planning. Having worked in Financial Services for over two decades, you could say that I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.... My career in finance started in 2000 as an adviser for one of the largest building societies. This giving me the foundations to what I believe, ‘good’ looks like, with an underlying emphasis on compliance i.e. getting advice right. Later on, I wanted to broaden my horizons, and my ability to provide independent advice to my clients, without the restrictions. That’s when I joined a local independent advisory firm in 2012, providing unbiased and holistic financial advice for over 11 years. This decision was neither ‘bad’, nor ‘ugly’, in fact this only developed me as an adviser, also gaining experience as the Compliance Officer within the firm for over 3 years. Combining my knowledge and skills gained over the years, and witnessing some horror stories about what comparable advisory firms were charging (the ‘bad’), it felt like the right time, and the natural career progression to start my own firm. Taking into consideration existing and new clients and funds under management, the firm had to be better than good, it had to be great. To be great, it had to focus on two core objectives: To provide first class service, and to bring down the cost of advice, which I am passionate about. I am almost as passionate about my football and my golf. My son, George and I first became season ticket holders at West Ham United 10 seasons ago, and we’ve enjoyed the highs and lows together ever since. My golf, well… it’s the ‘ugly’. As a high handicap player, I can score 40+ points on a good day yet struggle to achieve double digits on another. Regardless, I am proud to be part of the Pink Jacket Golf Society, consisting of 8 good friends, raising money for different charities and great causes each year. The golf doesn’t matter. I am extremely proud to have got Brady Financial Planning on the road and I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know you.
